You never realized how much you needed this set up! must get for trailering kids and carseats in the back seat!
This thing works great. Its a nice rectangle, you think it will be too big from looking at it, but it works great. i have my fella riding the center seat, rear facing. i installed this in vertical (not landscape) mode, and installed the mirror on the passenger headrest behind the driver seat. i get a solid view of my kid without having to duck, bend or search in the rear view mirror for the mirror and then the kid. i never knew how much better this was than the other half ghetto set ups and tiny mirrors. I can almost see my entire kid, sleeping, playing, or just mad at me cause he is bored!!! he also is able to sneak in a view to the DVD on the back rest of the driver seats. Easy on and off with clips, and adjustable straps. its solid, i drive pretty hard and even some off road trails with it and the mirror didn't even flinch on its mount... stays in lace well. would gladly purchase again! Good Luck, happy shopping!

Excellent product!
LOVE these mirrors! I have two boys, a 2 year old and a newborn. Both rear facing. What I love about these mirrors vs my previous carseat mirror....1.) The Size - these mirrors are big enough to give you a clear view of your child, but not big enough to obstruct your view when driving. My previous mirror was WAY too big!2.) Easy and secure installation - easy to secure to the headrest with the cross snaps. Tightens easily. My previous mirrors did not tighten easily and putting them on the headrest was so frustrating.3.) Easy to adjust view - the mirror has a back piece that secures to the headrest so the actual mirror itself is easy to reposition to get a clearer view of your child. My previous mirrors I had to move the actual mirror to readjust and it was not as secure.Really happy with these mirrors and definitely makes driving less stressful giving me a clear view of both kids reassuring me they're safe.

Best Mirror Ever-especially for a Honda Element!
Just received this mirror! I am a grandmother and I drive an Element (I see a second car in my future) which is not necessarily designed to have a car seat, let alone rear facing. So the first mirror I bought did not allow for any adjustments, and neither do the headrests on the backseats. Therefore it was loose and looking at the ceiling or out the window. Thought I would give this one a try. I installed it in about 5 min., which for a fumbling grandma was record time! I love that it swivels and has the straps that go around the headrest and can be tightened securely. Now I can spy on that little guy! Maybe I should consider getting one for his 9 year old brother's seat so I can see just what he is up to when he says "nothing".The picture was taken in my garage so it is dark but if stretched out it will show up better.

Happy buyer's review below:)
This is my updated review. When I received it I realized that the mirror is far better than it was described. It gives you car's side mirrors effect, i mean that much good it is, very clear, very good quality. If you put straps pretty tight, they will stay there with no problem. I use it for my youngest one and sometimes my toddler trying to pull it. I mean even with that little monster it stays really good :)The best part of this mirror, I am more relaxed on the road, now I know what is my baby doing, even my husband wants one for his own car:)very good quality, being in yellow is a big plus, cause you notice it right away. But the "baby on board" suction cup doesn't work :) it keeps falling:) but that's not big deal for me, cause I wanted the mirror, and it met my expectations. Thank you for such a good product.

Love this mirror!
I'm usually the type that goes for standard black and tries to keep baby gear pretty neutral. But when I came across this bright yellow mirror, I didn't give it a second thought! What a great idea to quickly draw your eye to it so you can safely check up on your baby. It attaches easily to the seat headrests and adjusts easily. I've tried installing in the center as well as a side and have a great view of my baby either way. It's a good size, too. Maybe a tad smaller than some of the other mirrors out there, but it's a good size without taking up too much room. It provides such peace of mind being able to see your little ones, and this mirror provides additional peace of mind that I'm checking up on him as safely as possible. I would definitely recommend!

Great Option
This is much better than the mirror I was using from my previous car. It installed easily and I can actually see my child in his car seat. It is mounted on a center headrest in a small SUV. It does shake quite a bit, however, I have not tried adjusting it to see if I can reduce the shaking. The price point was better than the other leading mirror that adjust in the same manner. The yellow doesn't seem to make a difference in locating the mirror. Perhaps it would if I was not already accustomed to looking in the rear view for a child's mirror. So far I am pleased with this purchase.

This baby mirror is very useful and easy to attach to the headrest
This baby mirror is very useful and easy to attach to the headrest. There's two straps in the back that clip together and you pull to tighten it to your headrest size. The mirror is on a rotatable ball, so you can angle the mirror any way you want to help you see the baby better. The yellow is bright and allows you to see it quickly when you look at your rear view mirror to see the baby. Our baby also loves to look at herself in the mirror - it keeps her quite entertained when she sees herself during the care ride! Lastly, it comes with a free "baby on board" sign which was easy to suction to the back window and does not fall off. Best price for this quality of baby car mirrors.

Good price, good product.
This is a very nice mirror. It is much larger than the one I bought from Walmart, but that is not to say that it is huge. The post attached to it that makes it adjustable is lightly padded so it won't mark the seat headrest and also keeps it from slipping around on leather seats. The straps and clips are nice and sturdy. The safety glass is very clear so you can see baby well. It is however; kind of a two person job to get it adjusted to your rear view mirror. But it stays in place nicely after you do.

Yellow is best.
Got this for my daughter, just had baby and got a rear facing car seat. She wanted a black mirror but I chose yellow for the very reason the seller has stated. You look in the rear view mirror and the yellow baby mirror grabs your eyes, safer, less time not looking at the road. Daughter was mortified by the colour but has conceded and reckons best mirror ever!Dad: 1University educated daughter: 0*Update* Daughter has asked for another mirror for their second car! She loves it that much!

Very disappointed. Wasted my money
I am disappointed with this mirror as I struggle to see my baby clearly. I can't tell what he is doing as he appears so small in it. I bought a similar mirror when my daughter was born 5 years ago and it was magnified so I could see her face in detail in my rear view. It is not necessary to see my whole baby as I can in this mirror. I just need to see his face to see if he's awake, asleep or if he's been sick, etc. but I can't at a glance and find myself taking my eyes off the road for a lot longer than I should and for that reason I have ordered a different mirror as I do not want to compromise our safety because this doesn't serve its purpose.Unfortunately for me, I bought this item when I was 6 months pregnant and the return window is only 1 month so I can't even send it back. One positive is that the bright yellow colour does draw your eye quicker than a black mirror against a black car interior, it's just a shame that I can't see my baby just as clearly! My advice would be to install it and test it out as soon as you get it so you get plenty of time to return if you're as disappointed as I am.

Definitely the yellow.
So like a lot of people I decided I'd need a mirror for checking on the baby. It's the first time I've had my own car before and initially I decided not to because I thought it would be a distraction but after a couple of suspiciously quiet drives where she'd actually just fallen asleep but I kept thinking she was dead, I came scouring the reviews for mirrors. It hasn't even occurred to me to get a yellow one, and I even had the black one in my basket until I read another review where the purchaser had overruled her daughter and bought her the yellow one for safety reasons. I went against my initial instinct to get a black one and got the yellow. Better safe than sorry right? It's crazy how much quicker it is to look when the yellow frames the baby. I honestly thought it couldn't make that much difference but it really does. I had used a black one before from someone else before getting my own so have been able to directly compare and the yellow makes a huge difference against the black interior of my black car that's got black window blinds on.And as an added bonus there's a baby on board sign I'm now proudly displaying in my back window. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone. 👍

Works fine
No need to go bonkers about this, it's just a mirror. It attaches easily to a headrest and has enough mobility to rotate it around so you can see the child no matter which seat they are in. You would only be able to see one child at a time however as the aperture is quite narrow. It's not a fish lens. The "safest yellow frame" BS is really just a gimmick. It doesn't make it any easier to find with your eyes. Think how ridiculous this actually sounds, as if it's going to take you anymore time to see something right in line with the rear mirror just because it is yellow. Sales gimmick. But yeah, it works.

Made First time Dad driving more enjoyable with this
Does the job overall, for few months I thought my baby was sleeping because of no noise, as end of the journey he is always asleep. Proved me wrong when using this mirror...during the journey, he is awake and seeing the world go by. I personally brought this one because of the yellow boarder for attention. The straps may not work for all new cars as the rears headrests are getting smaller., however I just straps it around the bars. Still works fine and puts a smile on me while driving. Im more nicer to other drivers now lol. Thanks Danielle
