This does what it is supposed to do. No more clogged nozzles!!

It softens my shower head that I bought last year. These are replacement beads.

I needed a new one, and I am going to keep buying them until I switch my shower head.

I had no idea what I was missing b4 I found this new showerhead. Our old one was on its last leg so I hopped on Amazon and pretty much bought the first thing I saw that could be delivered quickly. I had no clue abt the beads inside or what they did. I had also never had a showerhead that came with a shut-off button to save water. Anyhow, the beads made the water seem a lot cleaner on my skin. The spray was such that I didn't feel like my skin was being blasted off! I don't know how else to describe the experience except to say that this is, hands down, the best shower experience I have ever had. Whoever came up with this idea should be "knighted"!!UPDATE***I am now on shower head #3. The original began cracking and leaking within 6 months. I wrote to the company and they were very apologetic and offered to send me a new one which, of course, i accepted. Another 6 months or so and the same problems were back. Keep in mind that we do not abuse the shower heads. They don't get thrown on the shower floor, etc. The breach locations are almost in the exact place as the 2nd one. Again I wrote to the company and explained what the problem was. I rec'd my new showerhead yesterday! I appreciate their generosity but I'd rather know that they have fixed the problem and that I can have a product that doesn't give out within months. Bottom line, the company has a great customer service policy but they need to fix the obvious design flaw.
