Great radio for the price
This rig is terrific for the price. As others have noted, it uses the same new board as the newest generation of the Stryker 955, a fabulous radio. It's like getting the performance of the Stryker for just a bit more than half price. Transmit audio is excellent on all modes just using the stock mic. The radio is rock stable on sideband. There is no drifting. Mine arrived spot on frequency from the factory. The receiver is excellent also, very smooth sounding on all modes. My only complaint is the use of a RJ-45 jack for the mic. Anytone cheaped out on that. Yes, I know that many ham rigs use them. I have many and hate it on those rigs as well. They are cheap and the mic connectors break easily. Anytone had plenty of room to fit a standard 4 or 6 pin jack, making it easier to wire up amplified mics. Aside from that one issue, which can be remedied with an adapter, this is THE rig to get for the mobile or a nice base setup with a power supply. Great job Anytone.

Best radio for the money
This radio is phenomenal. Once you get it set up, it will be the best sounding radio on the air.... I am constantly getting commented on the excellent quality. And I am extremely satisfied with the receive on this radio and the ease of use. I would highly recommend. I am using it as a base station and I plan on buying another for a backup and another for my pickup truck.

It seems to be a great radio
So far there is nothing I dislike. I wanted a big LCD and it doesn’t disappoint. This AI noise reduction seems to work fairly well, I have a lot of static in my location which makes it difficult to talk to weak stations. It does actually help! I haven’t even figured out all of the bells and whistles yet and it has a lot but they are all useful features. It’ll be weeks or more before I’ll have a good grasp of the radio. I’ll update if need be. !ONE THING TO KNOW! If you plan to expand this radio to its full potential of 10 through 12 meters it voids the warranty's! It is very simple to do and I have done it, my warranty is now void so keep that in mind. Also you can’t change the LCD color if that is important to you.

Nice Radio
This is a very nice radio. Good value for the price. The first thing you will notice when you unpack this radio is that you've been transported back to 1989. It has look, size and feel of a late 1980's radio. Think RCI Ranger 2950 or 2970. It has the size of that radio, but with about half the weight, and not built like a tank as they were. No where near as quiet as my old 2950, but just as sensitive, and much better selectivity than the 2950. You don't get all of that bleeding over from adjacent and even two or three channels away that the 2950 and 2970 were infamous for. Too bad it's not as small and compact as Anytone's 6666, but maybe the extra air in the case will help with cooling. Overall, a nice radio. Time will tell if it's reliable over time.

Best radio since the President HR-2510
I grew up in the 90s using a President HR2510 and until I bought this radio nothing else ever compared to how good it was. I'm happy to say that this radio feels like a step up from the legendary quarter dime. It is like the users of those radios decided what a new radio needs to compete and be better right out of the box and got it right. Receive is quiet on background noise but super sensitive. The multi segmented S meter is so precise I can almost pinpoint which vehicle someone is transmitting from on the road. Power and swing is phenomenal. The AM ANL variable pot inside the radio controls the forward drive. You can dead key 1/2 a watt and swing 40 if you want with no other mods. Noise blanker works better than my expensive Yaesu FT1200. Audio on the air and out of this radio is just superb. You really can't compare this to anything else on the market. The new Lincoln II+ falls short of being this good. Programmable roger beep. Software let's you make anything you want. Adjustable echo. This will be my rig of choice for both CB and 10 meters for years to come. I own the Anytone 6666 also but prefer this radio because of the display and controls being easier to use and speaker audio is much better.

AnyTone AT-5555N II My take
Great little radio( Little in comparison to my Yaesu FTDX 101MP).This radio is more of size comparison to the RCI 2950 DX,Radio works great and covers all three bands 10 meters, 11 meters and the 12 meter ham bands.Other operators say I sound excellent on the air and it is quite easy to use and has the CTCSS (PL) encoder/Decoder as well for repeater access, also has Only six memories, why ONLY six is beyond me!I am sure there literally hundreds of usable repeaters on the FM portion of the Ham band.I had it in my car for a short time but found it is a bit large for my little car ( A ford ecosport).I took it out and put my Yaesu FT891 back in. I miss the other ham band capabilities.

Worked great until just after the warrantee expired
So, I really liked this radio, it was everything I wanted. Then after a few months, the transmitter stopped working. Now, I am a Ham radio operator, my antenna is well tuned and grounded, so I know I wasn't the cause of the failure. Buyer beware, this may work for you, or it may turn into a very expensive receiver {since it will no longer transmit}.

Radio, breaker breaker...
I can't comment on the radio. Well, other than, it looks nice. If you know you know. It was easy to install. Perfect fit; I mounted it to a storage area cover. The weight of the radio is perfect for mounting there. The antenna, not part of the radio, is in place as well and appears to be working. More to come.
