Joseph Bentley Traditional Garden Tools Stainless Steel Long Hand 3-Prong Cultivator

I have a little more than a quarter acre of what I call an ivy ocean. It is a thick covering of English ivy. You can't remove this stuff with chemicals or any other simple approach. It has to be pulled up runner by runner, roots and all, and deposed of carefully: otherwise it comes right back and spreads. That requires a lot of bending down and yanking by hand and it is hard and tedious work. Having some tools to help reduce the work is a blessing and also necessary. A long handle cultivator tool like this one is wonderful. It hooks and pulls the ivy runners eliminating a lot of the bending. It also easily hooks and digs up the below ground root runners. There are also many large rocks under the ivy field and this tool is amazing as a way of loosening them so that they can be hand removed. I realize that many potential users of this tool will just want it for helping to prepare a new garden space or just to turn the soil and it is great for those purposes, but for me it is one mean ivy fighting ripper digger and I wouldn't want to face this job without it.
