Taste Great! Heat? Meh... Cheaper Alternatives Are As Good
I just HAD to try these!Taste: The taste is subtle at first. You eat a few chips, and they don't seem to have much taste- but as you keep eating them, the flavor comes out, and it is wonderful! It's rather unique- dry and a little subtle- but once it shines through, you want more! It's hard to stop eating!Heat: Meh... After you eat enough of them in one sitting, they get a bit hot- nothing crazy- no unpleasantness- and it's a very flavorful delicious heat. I had bought these, because other reviews said that you can only eat a few at a time, and that the medium-sized bag would therefore last a while- so I thought that would justify the high price- but, I ate ther whole bag within 12 hours- and could've eaten it much faster if it weren't that I had wanted to conserve these expensive chips.Bottom line: They're delicious and thoroughly enjoyable. Satisfying heat, but certainly nothing crazy or "challenge worthy". My one problem with them is the price. Quite frankly, the Great Value "Burning Hot" chips you can get at WalMart for a buck or two, are almost as tasty and almost as hot...and come in a much bigger bag even though they're a fraction of the price of these. If these were cheaper, I'd eat them regularly....but since they're not, I'll just pick up the Great Value chips from time to time, and really don't feel that I'm missing much.

Do Not Eat And Drive
Do Not Eat And Drive Or Give To Small ChildrenThis Is the hottest Tortilla chip I have ever eaten equal to the hottest Pepper I have eaten but I have seen video of People eating the Carolina Reaper which Is the hottest and sent Some to the emergency room, This Is Not all that hot It take 5 minutes to feel the burn then the burning last for 15 minutes, like Cayenne Pepper You will have a reaction to It Watery eyes and runny nose and so on.Without the burning It Its a little boring tasting like Lima Beans, It being spicy makes It much better, Its Not that great eating straight out of the bag but Its great for adding a little more spice and crunch to Chili and Soup.

Hot for laymen, tame for the pros.
The reviews for this product are all over the place... Then again, you can real actual carolina reaper reviews and have people complain that it didn't make them cry at all. Don't trust people trying to play tough.I've never had much for tolerance for spice, with a nastier variety of jalapeno able to take me down in short order. However, I know that some greek yogurt and flour tortillas make a fine antidote for the weak.Overall experience: 1 chip slightly surpasses a full jalapeno. Powerful for laymen, but not much to say for pros. Eating a handful, however, lets the heat stack, and BOY it will take you places. Very satisfying, and if you apply an "antidote" when the heat is too much, you'll walk away thinking well of the experience and wanting to eat them more. For comparison, I ate an actual ghost pepper today and it was NOT fun. It was like eating battery acid it was so incredibly caustic (not even spicy as much as just awful), and I'm happy to report these chips have better flavor AND are the right balance of heat to not be pure sadism in a bag. They are, however, kind of a joke relative to the pepper they take their name from. Habenero chips probably wouldn't sell as well, though.Bought it for the meme. Unlikely to rebuy because of acid reflux (it was a dare), but overall I can report an excellent chip that will thrill most laymen with its heat levels.

Great party food! So glad I found them!
These are my husband's favorite chips. We used to be able to get them at our grocery store, but then we moved. So I am happy to get them on Amazon ... even with shipping being high. I purchased them last for two events, Halloween and my husband's birthday. My husband's delight when I brought them out was fantastic! They are Ghost Pepper hot. Be prepared with a glass of milk to go with them. However, they are not so hot, that almost everyone is fine with a small bite of a single chip. They made the best party addition as people enjoy watching and challenging each other eat them. :)

Nope to the seller
This is EXACTLY how I removed the bag from the box it was shipped in.I am NOT the one that opened the bag. So someone decided to ship me an opened bag and figured that would be ok.not!.I have no problem with the product it self. The chips are awsome. What I have a problem with is the person that put this bag in the box because there is no way this could of been missed. So in my head it was done on purpose. As for this particular bag, I threw it away because I'm not trusting a product that was opened like this.

Spicy but stale!
The chips itself are pretty tasty, however, upon delivery it looked as though the bag had been stepped on. The bag was literally flat, so needless to say, there was nothing but crumbs. Also, the chips were stale. Not amazons fault, but I do feel as though there should be some sort of product guarantee for incidences like this.

Spicy AND Flavorful!
I've been searching for a chip that has both heat and flavor, but haven't had much success. When they were spicy, it was almost a chemical heat, and little to no flavor. When they were tasty, there was very little heat (think Legend of Habanero chips). But these Paqui chips...AMAZING!They have a smoky flavor slightly reminiscent of chipotle BBQ, and then the heat kicks in. Not hot enough to melt my face off, but definitely hot enough to make my mouth uncomfortable after only five or six chips. I often find myself thinking about these chips when I am away from them, anticipating the satisfying sting. Will be ordering in bulk, stomach lining be damned!
