Great for 440 BX Chipset
Works great in a Dell Inspiron 4000 with an Intel 440 BX chipset. This model will not recognize a single 512 MB module but will max out at 512 MB with two 256 MB non-ddr, non-ecc 3.3 volt sodimms rated for either PC-100 or PC-133 bus speeds. Bare in mind that if you plug these into a PC-100 system bus your bench marks will reflect PC-100 memory speeds due to the chipset limitations, unless it can be overclocked (which cannot be done to most laptops.)

Works perfectly in Compaq Armada M300
This stick of memory was described exactly as I would expect for a piece of technology. It called out the size, pin count, speed along with other key words that help find exactly what you would need. Normally I buy Crucial memory but the price of this module was worth it. Since it's vintage, Crucial actually did not offer anything compatible so it was nice to buy direct on amazon and have it in a couple days.I should note, it worked great. I've tried a few other sticks of memory i had laying around the house but the system was unstable using it. This 256mb PC100 SDRAM worked perfectly and the vintage 500mhz laptop I was restoring now has the maximum 320mb of ram (64mb soldered on, one upgrade slot). I just wanted to say thanks for a cheap/great product. If I need vintage memory in the future, I will be sure to look up A-Tech.

Works perfect, fast shipping. Always major name brand memory.
This is about the third set of "A Tech Brand" ram I've bought to breath new life into old PCs. Buying old spec ram used to be expensive, and not a worthwhile investment, but at these prices you can upgrade old clunkers and feel good about it. Spend $10-$20 and save an old boat anchor from the landfill. What you get isn't actually manufactured by A-Tech, it's name brand ram from popular manufacturers like samsung, corsair, etc. I've tested every set, including this one, with memtestx86 and passed with flying colors. The specs are always accurate. The only con is that shipping isn't always free, and sometimes you have to pay over $8 to ship a $16 order of RAM.

An Oldie but a Goodie
I was looking for additional RAM to update an old computer. With only 256M, the old computer was painfully slow. So, I was happy to find this older product still available. The product arrived on time and it was simply a "plug and play" experience. Adding memory to those old XP computers can really help speed them up - and so it did. Thanks A-Tech for a high quality product of years gone by.

Decent price for ancient RAM. If you need to fix or upgrade that legacy laptop with that software that doesn't exist anymore, this is what you need. Worked perfectly for me. You can find all your ancient tech support at Archive.org as well.

Technically perfect...
This item was new, sealed, and as far as I could tell, genuine. However, it didn't work in my specific computer. That's not the fault of the seller; they never guaranteed it would work with any particular make/model. For reference, this does not work with a Dell Latitude CPx laptop. It turns out that laptop has very specific requirements regarding memory density.

buy 2
I tried upgrading my old computer from 256 to 512 by just purchasing one chip from a different company, but I got the 'blue screen of death' message. It was then I discovered that it is best to buy two of the same chips and replace all the existing memory. The price was right on these, I bought two and everything works fine.

Trying to revive an old laptop... couldn't even install Lubuntu with 256MB RAM. Popped these in and install is going great, hopefully machine will run better than Windows XP did but we'll see. Will post again if I have any problems with memory, but it worked out of the box.

Works with MPC1000BK.
Bought for MPC1000BK, and works as expected. Shipping was long due to freight consolidation with 3rd party courier in eastern states (AUSTRALIA).
