Depends what results you are looking for
Doesn’t do anything for hyper pigmentation but did help with red scarring and evening skin tone. Noticed a difference relatively quickly.

Buy This Intensive Renewal Serum! It Works
I’m 49 years old with oily skin that’s not sensitive. I’ve been using different brands of AHA for twenty years. I think a big reason why I get so many compliments on my skin is because of it. The maker of the last AHA brand I used for years was discontinued leaving me desperate for a replacement. I am so delighted I found this Serum. It does a great job of keeping my skin bright. It does sting until you get used to it but it’s worth it. It is a mild acid that helps skin renew itself. The serum is the consistency of water but it’s potent, which it needs to be if you want results. It also makes my skin more sensitive to sun burn. My dermatologist told me I have great skin and her nurse asked me to write down what I use because she wants to use it. My pic is unfiltered and I’ve had no work or injections.

My new Holy Grail
I am very pleasantly surprised by the product! I have tried so many serums and creams, I've spent hundreds of dollars trying the latest and greatest. They are always questionable in their results. Like, are they REALLY making my skin better? Am I imagining that MAYBE my skin is more youthful and my fine lines are not as bad? There is NO QUESTION with this Alpha product. My skin looks healthier!I apply this product in the evening. Be aware, the consistency is WATER. There is no heft to this liquid. So you squirt it out on your hand, and it is like squirting water. I've started applying it first to a cotton pad and then spread it on my face. I don't think that is necessary though. For the daytime, I use a Eucerin SPF moisturizer (another product that is superior to the expensive moisturizers.) Using a moisturizer with sun protection is extremely important!! Ladies, teach your kids at an early age! When you teach them how to bath and brush their teeth, and wash their hands, also teach them about sunscreen. It NEEDS to be a daily ritual, along with all the other hygiene rituals we do daily.Anyway... back to the topic: I will continue with Alpha Renewal Serum as my Holy Grail.

The Best To Date - Your My Dermatologist Noticed The Difference!
Apparently, this is liquid gold for the skin. I had an appointment with the dermatologist today and as soon as she walked in she said "Wow! Your skin looks great!" Never heard that before from the dermatologist before. She asked me what I have been doing and I mentioned this product and all the hydration products I use. She said that she could tell that I was exfoliating my skin well and I told her of a small mole that just shriveled up and went away after accidentally swiping this product over it. She told me to use this on a couple other moles (same type), too. When I first bought this and used it, it stung slightly like a tingle (not bad) and before the end of the bottle, my skin was used to it. I am reordering today and will continue to use this every morning after my shower. It is runny, so I squirt it out on the back of my hand then use my fingers to massage in. The consistency is that of a thicker than water feel. Squirt out a little bit at a time until you have covered your entire face. The rest, I put down my neck and on the back of my hands. I then use a toner to wipe off anything that might be left and then start applying my skin care. Love this stuff!

Works amazing
My skin type: combination. Oily forehead and nose. Embarrassing dry peeling around laugh lines, chin and corners of nose. Lots of large blackheads on nose and forehead. No significant acne. This stuff is just crazy good. I use this after a citric alpha hydroxy acid face wash (also alpha brand) and my skin has totally turned around. No more blackheads the thin, sad papery areas of my skin that were damaged and prematurely aging are actually healing, thickening and glowing. After first time use you notice a difference. After 1 week of use I was totally sold.Just give these products a chance. Slow down with the retinols and the clarisonic and give AHA serums and lotions as well as gentle cleansing with fingers not brushes a chance. It changed my skin and my life tbh. I threw my neutrogena products in the trash, I put my clarisonic under the sink. That was not as good as it would get, I was not just cursed with bad skin. I was just stuck in a bad regimen with the wrong products.

Holy fading age spots!
I used Alpha products off and on since the late 90's and always liked them because they're inexpensive and have exact percentage and formulation on their packaging. I went to Retin A instead a few years ago, hoping to fade old spots from acne and the little brown spots you get as you age. The Retin A was fabulous for preventing wrinkles around my eyes, but the spots were barely fading.I ordered this 27 days ago and holy cow I can't believe how well it has worked. I'm amazed. Really. I have tried a lot of stuff that didn't work (niacinamide) or gave me weird rashes (Vitamin C serums) and I'm glad I decided to try this out. I really only wanted an overall glow and maybe some prevention of fine lines around my eyes, and I wasn't expecting this sort of fading. The glow is a bit better (nothing like what I had in my late 20's or early 30's - I think those days are loooong gone) and my pores are completely clear. I used to have the worst sebaceous filaments - look it up to see what I'm talking about - but after 3 nights they were gone. You must, however, use a very good sunscreen. The usual stuff is not going to cut it - you'll need a higher PPD product that protects your skin from UVA along with UVB. I recommend European or Japanese products. I'm using a Bioderma one with a PPD of 38 and wouldn't recommend using this if you aren't super diligent about applying 1/4 teaspoon every morning and every two hours if you're going to be outside.
