The battery didn't hold up long

This is not my first time owning the Vivitar 5.0 megapixel camera. My previous camera was lost during a trip. I was so pleased with the camera, I had to get another one. The camera is very simple to use and is low maintainence- the rechargeable battery cuts down on the cost of having to replace batteries. What is more, the compact size makes it ideal for easy storage in small spaces- like pockets or a clutch. Compact and consumer friendly, this camera is perfect for beginner digital camera users and for more experienced users.

Beware!! I purchased this camera in 6/09, for a gift for my nephew's July birthday. He opened the camera on his birthday and it did not work at all!! I contacted the seller and they stated that their return policy was for a max of 30 days--not listed on their site! I then contacted the manufacturer and found out they went out of business in Jan 2008--over a year prior to the purchase of the camera. The seller has still not honored the return or reimbursement, so I am stuck with a non-working piece of junk. Order at your own risk!

I have taken this camera to Africa it is great because it fits in your pocket and takes very good pictures would not be with out it it is so hanyd without any bulk. I loved it
