Great bike, have had a lot of repairs to make since I purchased in July
I am returning to edit and change my entire review, because although it is a time difference, the seller has been very kind and responsive. The replacement parts (i have insurance) for repairs needed have been sent to me a few times and even though it takes awhile for parts to arrive, they do arrive. The seller has been a 5 star kind, and understanding, and informative.I appreciate this bikes sturdiness. But it has had a handful or more of repairs done. First issues the battery, I dont usually get over 16 miles on a single charge, and the bike is very heavy and hard to ride without battery. So you need to keep it charged constantly, and with a e-bike 16 miles happens very fast. So I plan on ordering a seccondary battery to carry on me so I can go further without the battery dying. When i purchased the bike i thought it got between 22-55 miles on a single charge. Ive never gotten up to 18 even when pedaling the entire time and the power down low. A new battery runs around 250 on vivis website. There were tire issues, one blew up a couple months into riding. Which it was a 1inch gash both the tube and tire exploded while riding, kind of scary. They sent replacement parts. And i changed it. The brakes had a issue where it wasnt engaging. I had that fixed at my local bike shop. And the brakes wore out very quickly only lasted a couple of months. The throttle stopped working, the bike would literally take off on its own when i was not applying the brake. so you cant let your hands off the brake or the bike will just go on you. which was very scary even for me an experienced rider. The bike was displaying a error code for the throttle malfunction. They are sending me a new throttle to replace the old broken one.The LCD screen is getting condensation under it which makes it hard to see the display especially in the sun or day time.the schwinn cargo trailer the black one on Amazon works well with this bike and can handle the high speeds.Other than that all the great things about this bike are, its basic to work on. Its not challenging to ride, its very heavy but that is nice it makes it feel sturdy, and its a beautiful design. I put a seat on it that is a little wider for comfort. Also that made it easier to pedal because the seat it comes with dosnt go back far enough i feel like my legs were right under me. Im used to a beach cruiser that has your legs stretched out in front of you rather than below you.The bike goes faster than it said the top speed was, when i bought it it said 20 top speed but it actually goes 22, and i noticed they fixed that on the website. The light isnt horrible but its not very bright especially for high speeds and low visibility but it works fine if your under street lights. I bring a extra bright light just in case.for the first few months i used a bicycle helmet. But now I use a e-bike 3/4 helmet which makes a great difference if you were to crash or hit the ground. Your skull needs to be protected. Also be sure it is a fitting size you shouldnt be able to shake your head and feel the helmet move, which means too big, and if it hurts your head, too small. But overall you couldnt ask for a better bike for the price. And it will be bought again if it stops working, i bought it with the hopes that it would last me a couple of years. and it feels like it may out last that. Parts can be ordered at vivi bikes website as well, be sure to check with them to make sure you are ordering the correct parts. I suggest getting the insurance and protecting yourself for repairs for the first year. ive had to do quite a few. But again the seller is so friendly to me and they send tutorial videos and everything so i dont get confused when installing replacements.5 stars because of the price, and reliability. I do still worry that something will happen and I will need to have a back up plan so i keep my old bike just in case.

Heavy but surprisingly good
Packaging was really good. No chance if this getting hurt during shipping to me.It was really heavy to get out of the box. It would have helped to have had another person to pull it out of the box and put it together.I came back out here to watch the video for the install a couple times as it took me a bit to get it all setup properly. I had to take a break but was able to do it all by myself over a couple of hours. The instructions on turning on lights and stuff were on this page also, so I had to jump back out here to find that.Have taken it out for a few spins and I only need the + one notch with the pedal assist on hills. I have not tried the full speed. My only complaints are how heavy it is and that I can’t lock out the front shocks.Awesome value for the price!

Bring a can of Fix-A-Flat when you ride.
this is a great bike for the money. we ordered on December 18th paying $559 US dollars and it arrived a little bit after Christmas. we bought two identical white bicycles. the first one took me about 2 hours to put together using the online video; the second one took about 45 minutes. first off the packaging was very good even though the box was banged up quite a bit. none of the interior items were damaged or scratched. we pulled everything out and we had all parts necessary for both bikes however putting the rear luggage rack on was pretty difficult since it was welded incorrectly and two of the screw holes would not line up, they were about a half inch out of adjustment. upon getting the front wheels in we noticed that both front wheels rubbed slightly against the disc brakes. we had to readjust, that should really not happen. everything else was pretty much straightforward and I would suggest riding with a can of fix a flat with you. my wife laughed about my taking it in the saddle bag that we put on the back until I had a flat on the front tire about a week after using it. it was from a small sticker Burr if you can believe that. a slow leak when I got home and the next morning my tire was flat. this can happen to you 7 or 10 miles out, fix a flat.. keep that in mind.after assembly the bike itself seemed to work quite well. everything functioned as it should and there was more power in the low selection then I would have thought. going up a 70 ft bridge that transverses the intracoastal waterway here in Florida, I only needed medium on the engine speed and actually low might have done the trick as well. after about a week or two of owning the bike, I have never had it in the high position. I'm glad I bought the 500 watt motor and not the 350.we plan on using the bikes on the boat we will be purchasing this summer and this will be getting us around town in foreign ports as well as over to grocery stores for provisions. these bikes will be our main transportation and they appear to be sturdy enough and put together well enough that we can rely on them. seat tensioning was an issue until I got out my socket wrenches and really torque that baby down. no problems yet with the battery or anything else. disc brakes work great. we have gone over 15 miles on One battery charge using both full-time electric motor punctuated with pedal assist. I got to tell you for $550 it's a great bike.

Great bicycle.
Love this e bike. Purchased three identical bikes in May for myself, husband, and our grown daughter. I currently have a total of 527 miles logged on it. I have no complaints. Flat tires are to be expected and maintenance checks should be done often. I’m seventy two years old.

Failed Opportunity
First off the top speed is 15mph not 20.. to get to 20 you need to FULL SPEED PEDAL W/PEDDAL ASSISTANCE ON HIGH DOWNHILL.NOT ONCE DID I O GO OVER 14MPH WITH THE MOTOR ALONE.2ND the brakes on this bike SUCK. From the begggining your going to need to tighten and adjust until the bolt holding the caliper snaps and then you lose you brakes.Battery life sucks, parts suck. The bike sucks. I wish I would've out the 500 bucks I spent (yes 500 because they're too cheap to pay their own shipping so expect the $175 added to your price) on an ACTUAL NAME BRAND e-bike commuter not this Chinese cheap price of crap. Will be added pictures soon.AVOID THIS BIKE
