If you're a small time stealth grower this unit is exactly what you need for upping your yield. LED only gets you through the veg cycle, this will make everything take off when flipping to 12/12 and flowering cycle. Excellent for a rookie and easy setup. Just make sure you anchor it into solid wood it's heavy! Perfect for around a 3 by 3 area or tent.

A fantastic lighting system for young plants or small time grows!
I use a small LED light for seedlings, but once the roots spread out and the first set of true leaves pop out, under the HPS it goes and this one is great for any and all types of plants! I have one set up for lettuce under a home made Deep Water Culture Hydroponics setup. I call it my bubble box and the lettuce loves it! Its not too hot so you can get it fairly close to the tops of plants without any burn damage. I have it about 18" from the tops of my Black Seed Simpson lettuce and they love it! It doesnt hum like other higher voltage or older HPS light. You dont need a cooling system due to it being a 150Watt system and its nice and compact that it can be hung anywhere. For the price, this is your best bet for small grows. I used it on a large tomato plant in a deep water culture bucket (5 gallon) and it worked great until the plant became over 5ft tall. It doesnt have the power to reach lower leaves, but it still worked out fine. If you can train your plants and bend them horizontally once they reach 3-3.5 feet then that will work best. Again, this light is fantastic for small spaces and small grows!

Mine arrived with the bulb broken!
Mine arrived with the bulb broken, it was detached from the part that screws into the socket. Kind of disappointed seeing that it wasn't cheap.

Good
It's a good light my only issue with it is how loud it is but I don't think you can make these kind of lights really quiet so

I can't complain, it's a decent product.
I bought 3 of these. One of them didn't work. That aside, here is my thoughts on it. I've used HPS lights for over 30 years, ranging from 1000 watt down to 400 watt, but I've never used a 150 watt. I really like the amount of heat it puts out. I have these in a west facing room with a lot of exposure and they don't significantly add to the temperature. I also like the reflection from the hood. These lamps are for a small grow. One will cover about 24"x24". The ballasts are pretty quiet with no humming. I don't really have any complaints about it. I've only been using them for a month so I can't vouch for their durability. But for the price I think it's worth it. I would've given it 5 stars but one came broken.

Good setup so far
I've seen reviews that say their setup went belly up quickly or that this is a flowering light... Now take everything I'm going to say with a grain of salt as I am only 3 weeks in with this light and this is my first time trying to grow anything. Anyhow, that said I am digging this light as are my little ladies. I have it about a foot above em and they're looking great! There may be a slight hum coming from the light but my two fans drown it out so I haven't noticed it. Anyhow, again, so far so good will update if anything changes.

Awesome
I have an older sun system 150 watt and they're incredibly similar. I hope this one lasts as long and is as dependable as my old one. Bought this to add just a little more light in my tent. Its bright and my babies are loving it. Discreet packaging. Which was a big deal for me. Considering the ups guy delivers to my work also. It seems a little lighter weight than the older one. I love the 150s because they're easy on the electricity bill. Barely noticeable. They put off enough light and with 3 in my 4x4x7 tent I can keep it at about 75°f and they're cool to the touch with clip fans on them. And I have the same if not better yields than my buddy with a 600w in the same size tent. They're still a little harder on sprouts and babies I've experienced leaf burn.

Small but effective light.
Easy to set up, bright, and not too hot for a 2x4 tent.
