Rockport Men's City Edge Slip on Sneaker

I wanted to replace Clark's shoes in a similar style that are no longer made. This was my first time trying Rockport. First off, a common problem on Amazon, the color of the product doesn’t'l match the photos. "Summer Brown" is s an ugly dark olive greenish brown nothing like the photos. The box has a small photo that matches the actual color perfectly. So either the style was changed or they purposely alter the photos to make it look better than it is. The soles have the color and texture of beige PVC plastic like cheap snap together storage shelves. It makes the shoe scream "Cheap import!" as soon as you look at it. In use, they fit smaller all around narrower and tighter on the arch than expected. The feel is very firm when walking. I could have dealt with all this but the worst part is they squeak horrifically on any type of tiled or other hard surface other than carpet. Forget about wearing these in an office setting unless you want to be the person with those annoying squeaky shoes getting stared at and mocked. Of course I didn’t realize this until I wore them past the point of a return. I wouldn’t recommend these unless except for wearing outdoors.

I spilled some dishwater on the toe of one shoe the 1st day out of the box, blotted dry with paper towel and color faded, Now blotchy."Product support" on Amazon website recommended: "Talk to the manufacturer, offered by Rockport. Replace missing or damaged parts. Troubleshoot technical issues. Visit support website or call 1-800-762-57678."I called Rockport for troubleshooting advice, i.e., would Nubuck/suede cleaner help or make matters worse? The Rockport representative said that they only provide support to customers who purchased their shoes on the Rockport website or at their stores, and do not support Amazon customers.I then called Amazon customer service. As usual Amazon was great -- said to return the damaged shoes even though the damage was my fault and shoes had already been worn outside. Thank you Amazon!!

Looked at dozens and dozens of slippers that could be worn outside to the mailbox. None met the same level of construction and comfort as the Rockport slippers I owned. And Rockport stopped selling slippers! My thought was to find something from Rockport that would approximate a slipper - but with a better sole, and some support. This is it - easy to slip on, great around the house and out to the store, good support (I'm a big guy, so shoe support is important) for feet and arches. And they look good too.

It's been a good long while since I had some Rockports, the only blister I've ever had was wearing a pair of Rockport Chukkas. I figured these to be a good Casual Friday loafer, but they are way too casual for that - it's like they aren't fully formed, lacking in structure. Seems an odd product, almost like it's not really from Rockport - are knockoffs a thing for shoes? Anyway, I use them strictly at home for when I need shoes, like taking the trash cans to the curb. I can't see ever wearing them out in public.

I bought this shoe in a major department store last summer. They were my favorite summer shoes. They can be worn with shorts or long pants. They can be worn with or without socks. They are easy to slip on and off. This is an especially convenient feature since we do not wear shoes in the house.We moved over the summer and my favorite shoes got taken to Goodwill by mistake. I was so happy to find them on Amazon. I purchased them again.

They are his go-to shoes with jeans.

They are tuff ,rugged feels great , i have purchase 4 pairs of these shoes , one pair to party in ,one pair to work in , one to play around in and one spare pair , they feel great !
