A-Premium Power Steering Pump Compatible with Lexus LS400 1998 1999 2000, 4.0L, Replace # 9900172, 4432050030

After I installed on my 1999 Lexus, pump broke after 2 days of use. Spend a little more money and buy a better quality one so you don't have to replace it twice.

The pump is making strange noises that even the failing factory pump never made. Grounding and straining noises are frequent, as well as shuttering and shaking when making low speed/rev tight turns. I'm also experiencing a significant reduction of power due to the added strain on the drive belt. In all, I should have trusted the negative reviews. This was not an easy install and I very much regret the likelihood that I'll probably be doing it again soon

Had one of these put on my Lexus LS400 in January and its still going strong. I did make sure to use a good quality ATF fluid. We will see how it holds up. It's already been 3,000 trouble free miles. If it goes 50,000 more I will be happy with that life span.

Had this changed out due to original leaking and whining and the new one made it home from the shop OK, but a week later sounds louder than original and is leaking again. This is not a quality item and is too much trouble to change out to risk using stuff like this. Lesson learned.

New for much less than anywhere else.
