This mesh desk organizer is 5"H x 87/8"L x 51/2"W with a small drawer, 2 short compartments, 2 taller compartments and a long, thinner compartment in back, pretty much standard desk organizer design. The mesh makes it easy to see everything stored and has a thin trim that smooths out all the edges, leaving no rough edges to catch your sleeves or fingers. The drawer holds a sticky notepad and slides in and out easily. The two lower compartments are perfect for storing paper clips, binder clips and tacks while the taller compartments hold pens, pencils, scissors and markers. The thin rectangular compartment in the back is perfect for storing a journal, diary or small notepad.These are all standard desk organizer uses. However, I wanted to use the back space to store my 3 TV remotes in. I've been using a 5" x 5" square container which stores them upright, but they flop into each other and it's hard to easily grab any one specific remote. So I needed a rectangular space to store the remotes upright and separately. I thought the back slot of a desk organizer might work. I glued a couple of foam pieces to divide the back into three separate spaces to hold the three remotes upright without them sliding into each other. This works very well for me, letting me grab the correct remote quickly. Plus, utilizing the desk organizer eliminates a lot of clutter from my end table. A win-win situation.

I love having this, it makes my supplies so much more accessible and it looks really nice on my desk. It has the perfect amount of space in it, I can fit nearly everything I need in it and I still have room to add additional smaller items. I would recommend this to anyone who likes how it looks, as it functions perfectly.

I use this in my dorm room, and it holds everything so compactly. I love the sturdiness of the metal and the little pull-out drawer.

As someone who likes to keep a pen, tablet and other misc. things on the windowsill beside my kitchen table, I began searching for something to hold all of these little items that were cluttering up my area and falling all over the place.This little organizer exactly fits on my sill beside my chair and I even had room for more stuff! :-) It's really sturdy and well made. Just exactly what I wanted.

I use it to store all my sharpies and markers! Sturdy, the black mesh looks clean on the desk.
