Q: Can this be used in a regular microwave ?

Sorry, do not know the answer. I use it in my KitchenAid Superba with Ultima cook microwave. Item came with the unit.

Q: How can cast iron pan be put into microwave oven and not break one? Is it real cast iron?

The sellers listing technical info is wrong. It is not cast iron. Seller should be told to correct. It is also listed as discontinued by manufacturer? Whilst the pan does a good job, the outer finish deteriorates/comes off including on the original supplied as part of Whirlpool convection microwave.

Q: What happens if I use this pan on the convection grid? I didn’t realize you shouldn’t until it was too late. Whoops.

I did not use it in a convention oven. Just a speed Velos microwave with a grill option. Worked fine just sitting on the turntable. Only used it to cook bacon. Worked well.
