Amazing beach tent (and price was good!)
We just got back from Lake Sakakawea and wanted to share my experience. We purchased the Harbland newly upgraded 10x10 beach tent for this trip, the package is so lightweight and we fit in one of our backpacks. The experience was totally amazing and the tent works well. At beginning the wind was blowing hard and I was so concerned that the tent would stay up, then we filled the sandbags all the way up and then dig a little hole and flop the sandbag into it so it won’t slide. (Tips!) Stretch the four corners out as far as you can before unpacking the poles. We also used the support ropes and stakes. It turned out that this cute beach tent held up really well in wind.Assembly was like less than 5 mins, and packs up was convenient too.One thing they could've improved is there's no user manual and we need to find the instructions on the amazon page. :(Overall, the tip-design poles are really great, and it's an excellent sunshade. Looking forward to our next beach.

Easy set up, stable in the wind
The key to this and all of these type of beach tents is to super fill the sand pockets by digging up sand where you will place the weighted pocket. Super fill the sand pocket then place it in the hole you created in the sand by digging up sand to fill the pocket. In very windy conditions, make the hole even deeper and pile some sand on top of the pocket for extra weight. I believe all these tents perform similarly if set up properly. The bad reviews are from people that have problems in high winds because they only put a few scoops of sand in the pockets and don't use the hole technique. I especially like this one because of its compact size when stored, I could actually get it back into the storage bag and then the shipping box after use.

Good awning for the money (Amazon prime sale)
Really good shade for the money. It is lighter and smaller than carrying an umbrella to the beach, although it does take a few more minutes to set up. Once you have done it a couple times tho, setup is still pretty quick. In our week at the beach, we used this every day except one due to winds. We used it in a 4 pole and also in a 2 pole configuration. I have seen people complain about the weak poles on this and other awnings. We had zero problems with wind under 15mph but they get "iffy" pretty quick when the wind climbs. I think this is just because the whole awning acts like a huge sail catching the wind. Winds over 20-22mph I would not use this at all. I did see one person on the beach that replaced his collapsible poles with solid one piece poles. They worked great, even in the higher winds - but that also means his setup is no longer as portable any more. Who wants to carry four 6ft poles every time they go to the beach? I was very happy with the awning for the week.

Great beach tent
This beach tent is great. It’s super portable in the bag, sturdy, and looks good. Set it up every day for a week on the beach in Panama City Beach. Survived some really strong winds the first day we were there. Was skeptical at first, but after being there for a week and having some perspective on just how strong the winds were and how poor of a job we did setting it up, I am really impressed with how it held up. Took my wife and I probably 10 minutes to set up. It is also great at blocking the sun. If you can stand a little bit of pole wobble in high winds, you’ll find this is a really good tent, especially at the price point.

Great product but needs a slight improvement.
It was very sturdy and stood up well on windy days. Light weight and easy to assemble. However I would recommend to the company to put plastic caps on the end of the polls. I had an issue where the polls cut through the cushion balls after only three uses so I had to return it.

An exercise in frustration!
We did all the things. We practiced before our trip. We filled the bags to their max. We stretched it out well. We faced it into the wind. We buried the bags. We held our mouths just right, spun around three times and said the magic words. It still fell. We got help from a neighbor that has something similar. We watched all the videos and read all the reviews. It still fell. My assessment - it’s too stretchy. The whole thing is made from the same material and it’s sooooo stretchy. No matter how far you stretch it, it’s gonna stretch more. I adjusted this thing a million times the first two days. I barely sat to enjoy the beach. I just worked on this thing. I give up. It looks like a great idea but It’s going back. I think I may try a similar design but with actual strings for tethers and sand bags.

Surprisingly sturdy and easy to setup.
A few years ago, I got the 2-legged pop up tent for travel purposes but it wasn’t very sturdy in the face of strong winds. I do like how compact and easy it was to set up and take down so I decided to give the 4-legged version a try.Pros:- Lightweight and fairly compact. This is very light because it’s mostly fabric. Sand is used to weigh the legs down so no heavy weights are included in the package. It’s a bit longer than the 2-legged version due to the space needed for 4 legs which also seem sturdier.- Easy to assemble. I struggled before with the 2-legged assembly but that was due to my own lack of knowledge as well as the 2-legged setup. This one was surprising easy to assemble. (Will post setup video later when I head back to the beach with a camera.)- Windproof. The 2-legged setup has one side that slants downward thus making it prone to strong winds which was a problem for us. This 4-legged version doesn’t appear to have that same problem. We could see the wind blowing parts of it around but since there’s no wall, it’s not able to pick up the entire tent.Cons:- it would be great if the material was windproof but I can see how make larger holes for wind to pass would defeat the purpose of a shade or covering.Overall, pretty happy with this pop up tent and don’t have a lot of cons about it.

EASY to set up!
The write up was true. So easy to set up. With the 'help' of my 8 and 11 yr old grandsons, this went up in about 8 min on our family vacation to Sayulita, Mexico a few months ago. Gave plenty of shade and can be moved easily too. Next time I'll take a proper sand blanket for the 'floor'. But we had a bunch of chairs under it for the most part. And we had an 8 mo old with us, so shade was important.
