My dogs LOVE This Food!!!
My Schnauzer, Mac, and Chihuahua-Pekingese, Chuee, LOVE this food! Chuee has been scratching CONSTANTLY all night long and all day long under his front legs. He has scratched so much his skin is almost raw. He also scratches his ear all the time. He chews on his feet too. I mean its bad. I had read that it can be from corn in dog food so I decided to try AvoDerm. I also bought the shampoo which I haven't used yet because I JUST received it 2 days ago. (It REALLY seems like he has quit scratching so much! I hope this continues!! I will post when and if he quits scratching altogether!) Since this dog food is intended for switching from something else, I gave them each their measured amount. My schnauzer INHALED it so fast he actually returned it to his dish. Now I sit there and pour small amounts into his dish and try to get him to slow down and CHEW it up. I have been alternating with the canned AvoDerm during the day. They love IT too. This dog food smells good and the canned has a pleasant "people" food smell. I am excited that maybe I found exactly what my dogs need!!! I will update as time goes on.

My dogs loved it, but it turns out that one of my two Yorkie/ChiWeenie pups is allergic to this food. I was slowly incorporating it into their diet, and after two weeks and still not a half and half mixture, one of my pups was itching on a regular basis. I realized it was the food. I still don't know what ingredient it was - might be the avocado, because after a few weeks off of the lamb formula, we tried the chicken/brown rice, and he was itching within the first day or two. We're sticking with our old food, even though they love this one.

Doggy dissatisfied!
To my surprise my Lil dog didn't get to excited about this product!?! I mean he eats it because when he is really hungry! He has no choice! But I may have to go back to AvoDerm chicken! Which he LOVES!! I just wanted to alternate between flavor.

Finally
At last found a food that meets the quality I was looking for. I had read a report on dry dog foods that was most disappointing in its findings. Out of over 2200 foods rated only 119 made the cut AvoDerm being one of them. My miniature Doxie loves it, made transition without problem. Her coat is so nice now and no more flaking. Sticking with it!

Not happy. I dislike having to go to the hassle ...
After I opened the bag today I checked the expiration date. It expires November 2016, this year. Makes me think its not fresh now that this is late August and my two tiny dogs probably cant finish the bag before it expires. Not happy. I dislike having to go to the hassle of returning items. I hope when I give them some tonight they like it. Dang.

They Like It.
I wish my fur babies could write this. But since they can't, I'll give it a shot. This has helped with the scratching and itching. Their stools are firm and compact. They are free fed, but do not gorge on it.
