Waste of money!!! I don't see the real advantage of these. Sure, its great to look and see how much time is left on a load, but that's about all its good for. When i researched the Washer/Dryer and these devices, it was a bit misleading. I was hoping i could control my units while i wasn't home - Start my washer remotely and have it end when I got home (Rather than sit in a washer all day), or to turn on my dryer to "Fluff" my clothes up for a few minutes to remove the wrinkles. There are several steps that you need to follow just to use these, and personally I dont think its worth the time, effort or money. On a positive note, Wi-Fi stayed connected and the app worked without crashing.

Pretty useless.I bought it for a refrigerator.Only few things you can do:See door opening-close (for what?).See defined temperatures (not to change!).On-off power cool and power freeze.I don't think the above worth money.

The people who have discovered that it stops connecting quite soon after finally getting it to work are, unfortunately, living in the present. This device is incompatible with modern routers that switch channels based on conflicts and changing conditions. What you have to do is buy a super-cheap, old-style router that never changes anything. I abandoned trying to get it to stay connected to my Eero system and bought, from amazon, a TP-Link N300 wi-fi router for $18. The Samsung devices in my washer and dryer have remained locked in ever since.Now, here's why I gave it one star: When it message you that the washer or dryer is finished with its cycle, it doesn't tell you which machine is finished! To get that info, you have to go find the app and open it up. At least in our house, it would take less time to go to the laundry room and find out. Samsung knows which one is finished but they can't get it together to insert one more word into the text message letting you know. That's beyond bad design.

Ok, FIRST, the dongle really adds nothing to the washer and dryer experience!!! It doesn't remember WIFI and disconnects all of the time, and yes, I have an excellent WI-FI signal. All it is is a glorified timer on your phone to let you know when your laundry is done. Most of the time I have to go and hit the SMART HOME button on my machines to reconnect to the wi-fi anyway, so what is the point? Also, this is my bad! You can get this about 1/2 the price on SAMSUNG. This is my fault completely, this company totally ripped me off and I will be sending it back. Anyway, unless you want to sit in your living room and watch the little circle wind down, don't bother!

I should have gone with my gut feeling from the poor reviews and never ordered this. First of all I was never able to get my washer recognized by the app. This could be a compatibility issue with my dual band router. The manual states this may not work with “newer” modern routers. I had to change WIFI connections from my ISP to the “(washer) Samsung” connection. Now my phone is captive to a connection dedicated to my washer leaving my internet access temporarily disabled...only Android phones have the luxury of a single button start process for subsequent uses according to the manual. iPhone users have to log onto the Samsung server with their credentials EACH AND EVERY TIME to start a new process. If I want to use the dryer I will need a separate dongle. I will have to log off the washer and log into the app and select the dryer AFTER logging into the Samsung account putting in my credentials again...This device does not support any tablets at all, forces you to log into your account for non Android phones, take hostage your WIFI and not allow multiple machines to work. Bad product!

Won't connecteven though the app says wifi connection is strong. Horrible app to use. Sent back for full refund

Did not work. Tried resetting, downloaded the app and nothing. My boyfriend bought it thinking it would help us out, but as the reviews said it would not, it did not. We should’ve learned from others mistakes.

As time has gone on, Samsung has literally dumbed down this adapter to the point where it's only consistent function across washer/dryers is to let you know when the machine is done. Total waste.
