Backpack seems great, but it's black not the listed birch color
I have yet to real-world test the backpack, but it comes with a good reputation and fits my backpacking style well. Only reason I docked a star is because the listing is inaccurate and the seller doesn't seem to monitor their feedback closely. It displays the birch colored backpack and even includes that in the label, but I received the black version. I really only bought this one through Amazon because I had a gift card and was actually disappointed they didn't have the black version, but I liked the birch one as well and was okay with it. For others though, it may not be a good thing, so it would behoove the seller to pay attention to feedback from their customers and update their listing.

Great Fit!
I ordered in a number of big name backpacks and tried each one with what I would describe as a real world multi-day winter camping load of 35 plus lbs. The Sierra Designs Flex Capacitor 40-60 definitely stood out in terms of fit and comfort for me (wide shouldered, 5'9" 200 pound older male). The hip belt is what made this pack really stand out amongst the competitors. I could not believe how well the belt transferred the load to my hips and how the frame moved with me. The shoulder straps are also great. There are features I miss such as a detachable top lid pocket as well as a mesh sleeve on the front. However, I am already looking at ways to attach a mesh pocket/sleeve for drying gear and will put a zippered mesh sleeve in the top lid pocket to carry the items I want to take into the tent in the evening. Overall, an interesting design that I am looking forward to putting some backcountry miles on.
