Job well done, Milwaukee.
Though I find this tape slightly bulky, it has great ergonomics and it works exceptionally well. I have used Stanley tapes for quite a while, and, working in construction, I wanted something tough that would last me for my lifetime. I think I've found it. The tape never fails to retract and the thumb brake works exceptionally wel. Although being well-versed in using my thumb just in front of the opening to stop the tape or hold it open, I've found it unnecessary to use the thumb brake if you're simply measuring a piece of lumber or stock to cut. This tape has been dropped, thrown in my work bag, etc. countless times and has always come back for more. It's never let me down. Truly, I think, the best feature is the wire bail-style belt clip. This clip is incredibly strong and never lets the tape fall off my waist even if I'm hanging upside-down or jumping across roof trusses. It also doesn't destroy/rip your pants or belt like other spring steel style tapes. If they could make this slightly smaller, it would be the be-all, end-all of tapes, in my humble opinion.

This is a great tape measure
This is a great tape measure. I used a Stanley Power Lock tape measure for several years and was frustrated by it falling over when I wanted it to stand, the lock function becoming impossible to operate after a few years of light, infrequent use, and a few other small gripes I have with it.This Milwaukee is a significant step up. It has a tough nylon coating on the blade that feels very different (in a nice way) from other tape measures, it feels very sturdy and the rubber on the top and bottom gives you a nice grip on it. The lock is VERY easy to engage/disengage as well.Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase and it's well worth the few extra dollars. I'd definitely recommend this to my friends.

Doesn’t have durable wire clip on back
I’m giving this such a low rating because it is not the good 48-22-5525 tape measure. It is actually (what you get) the cheaper built junkier 48-22-6625 tape with the standard clip on the back. Not the very durable wire clip you are probably looking for.

Not durable.
I bought this based on previous positive experience with Milwaukee products. Within a year of light use, the tape began to tear and hang on the edge of the tape opening. I expected much more from this product. It is now essentially useless.

Better than Stanley Fat Max
Excellent tool. This seems to be well built and I appreciate the protective coating over the numbers as it helps to protect from getting scratched up and unreadable. For the price I don't think you can do better. (Especially since Stanley seems to have cheapened the construction of their Fat Max line).

The best tape measure I've had yet
I love my Milwaukee measure. The only downside is the size of it, as it does not fit in older tool belts like mine. For one-man measurements when on an extension ladder or similar awkward spot, it holds well. If you accidentally mark on it with pencil, it just wipes off.
