Product Description The SOG Specialty Knives & Tools VS-02 Visionary II Knife is a combination of the Spec Elite and X-Ray Vision Mini resulting in a knife that has a great blade in a small package. Made of VG10 steel with an attractive black powder coat finish, this premium Japanese steel is specially designed for high-quality blades used in cutlery and known for its durability and maintaining a hardness of Rc 60 without becoming brittle. The 3.75-inch straight edge, folding blade has a drop point shape that sharpens easily and makes quick work of any task. The blade of this limited knife provides lightning-quick, one-handed opening and closing capability thanks to the special Arc-Lock for ambidexterity. The ergonomically contoured and well-balanced handle has a black finish and is made of a high strength, no-slip, abrasion and impact resistant glass-reinforced nylon to fit comfortably in your hand. with good steel and a durable finish on the blade
The knife is well made, with good steel and a durable finish on the blade. It is extremely sharp out of the box. Be warned that unlike the first picture shown, all screws and fittings are black, not silver. The one issue I have is with the pocket clip. Most knives I have use two or three screws to secure the clip but this knife only has one small screw. This, combined with the clip's habit to get caught on things, means that the clip can get a little loose allowing it to pivot in the frame.

Excellent Folder the old SOG quality is still there
One of the best SOG knives available today. Many people were disappointed when SOG stopped making their fixed blades in Seki Japan and moved production to Taiwan. But SOG kept production of their high end Folders in Seki,I have four Seki models and they are excellent knives, far better than their lower priced assisted open models. The SOG arc lock is smoother than my Benchmade axis lock knives (which are of course great knives). The Visionary I and II uses a flat design making it very suited for EDC, and you can't beat the sharpness andedge holding of the solid VG10 blade.

I absolutely love arc lock
This life is becoming one of my favorites, right behind my paramilitary 2. SOG is not exactly known for their fit and finish being a Taiwan made knife. This knife is made in seki Japan and is absolutely flawless. I absolutely love arc lock, it reminds me of the Benchmade axis lock.

Excellent EDC knife
I bought this knife and two Benchmade Griptillians at the same time. I thought I would like this knife but I am a huge Benchmade fan so I gave them all a try. After weeks of back and forth I finally settled on the Visionary II as my EDC knife. The black coating SOG uses is superior to Benchmades, showing few marks under medium use. I settled with this knife over the two Griptillians for a few other reasons. It is thinner and sits deeper in the pocket, it is lighter ( by just a hair ) the blade opens as fast as an open assist blade and has a very refined feel when the blade is pushed out. The black coating in conjunction with the rust resistant VG-10 steel make this blade highly resistant to rust therefore very low maintenance. The lock up is nice and tight and from all accounts the Arc Lock is tremendously strong, very similar to Benchmades Axis lock ( These two locking systems are why I basically only buy SOG or Benchmade now). The handle is made of a Zytel type plastic with very thin liners and after two months of daily use including being dropped the handle shows no scratches or scuffs. One of my initial concerns was the handle, being thin and with few contours I was worried about it would feel in my large hand. IMO the Griptillian is more comfortable in the hand, and would be a better hard use knife, I found the Visionary II's grip to be surprisingly comfortable and very adequate for light to med EDC use. The VG-10 blade holds an edge very well and the curved blade is a cutting beast but is slightly more difficult to sharpen than a plain straight edge knife. The drawbacks are, a slight, very slight, side to side wiggle in the blade during lockup, typical with a folder this thin, but not enough to cause any kind of concern. Another drawback is the position of the lanyard whole. With the bayonet style clip SOG uses there really is no alternative. I almost always use a lanyard and with SOG knives it can bind slightly when you try to clip the knife all the way down onto the pocket rim.All in all the knife is a really great overall EDC knife, not really made for day in day out hard use but is more than worthy of getting you out of the occasional tough bind you might find yourself in. Very thin, very well built, very light weight, durable and has a tremendously refined feel in its action.Highly recommended.

LOVE THIS KNIFE
LOVE THIS KNIFE. SOG is incredible. You can buy any of their products and send them into their HQ for free cleaning/fixing. My sister worked at SOG in Washington for many years and they have great costumer service. This particular knife is owned by my father, sister and boyfriend. They say it's the best for everyday use. I love that it can withstand 1000lbs of pressure (even though i never need that much) It's good to be reassured. Good grip and great quality!

Time will tell
Was under the impression this was an assisted opening knife. it's not but that's on me for not making sure. However the blade opens very easy and is extremely sharp. Bought to replace my missing sog flash 2. So far I'm pretty pleased.

One of the best knives I've ever owned
One of the best knives I've ever owned. I like to think of myself as a collector of knives. I tend to get a new every day carry once a year if not sooner because I always tend to want the new. With this knife I've been extremely impressed with the over all quality especially for the cost. It easy to use, durable and maintains a sharp edge. Sharpening it is a sinch as well. Definitely my favorite at this time.

I love this knife
I love this knife. The blade is very organic and smooth. looks great and the arc lock is very axis lock like as far as function and smoothness. opening and closing is easy. its a fun knife to just play with. out of box its razor sharp and the angle grind is consistent on both sides. Now for the minor part im not a fan of. i own many SOG folders. I am not a fan of this style of pocket clip, i know many people live it. It does go in and out of pocket well. However-it digs into your palm if your doing extended cutting. Easy fix though. i got a Black Aegis clip from SOG and put that clip on this knife. Now for me its perfect. I didnt take off a star for that because the clip that comes with this knife does have a purpose just not for me.

Super Messer
Was mich allerdings nicht weiter stört.
