Not for small heads
I love being able to connect to two devices at the same time. I listen to music from my phone but also connect to work laptop for teams calls. Everyone can hear me fine. My 18 year old has a small to average head and cannot wear this because it's not adjustable so works better if you have a bigger head like me. If I make it too loud, other people can hear it so it can annoy those around me if it's really quiet in the room. It can also my the hairs inside my ears tickle when the sound is loud and varying a lot. The magnetic charging is a little aggravating because if I don't have it just right it falls off easily if u accidentally touch it slightly. I had it on full charge and listened to my TV show on my phone from 5am to 2pm with a couple of meetings in between. At full usage the battery was at about 10% by 3pm which I really love since I shouldn't have to worry about charging during the work day when I need it most. Comfortable. If I want to hear something louder I hover it over my ear canal and it's great. I love that I can hear my surroundings when I am using it normally and I love that I'm not putting something inside my ears like my older earbuds.

Great open ear headset
These are a great pair of open ear Bluetooth headset. I would recommend these if you are in the market for a pair like thisPros: Light weight Easy pairing Loud Easy to chargeCons: Small circumferenceSo if you have a big head like me they will work but are not the most comfortable as it will flex the band out more. For everyone with a smaller skull I think these would work great.

Not as good as Aftershokz, but maybe good enough
Bone conduction headphones have one main advantage over other types of headphones -- they don't block your ear so you can hear other sounds around you. The main disadvantage, however, is sound quality. These bone conduction headphones from Naenka are no exception -- poor sound quality but it keeps your ears open.SOUND QUALITYLet's talk about the sound quality first. I am comparing these to my set of Aftershokz Air headphones; Aftershokz basically single-handed popularized bone conduction headphones. If a pair of good wired earbuds around $20 is a 10, Aftershokz Air are around a 6 or 7, and these headphones from Naenka are about a 4. The problem with the sound is that it's weak on the treble to the point where it affects spoken voices, and it sounds like the bass is emphasized to try to make up for the lack of bass that bone conduction headphones have but all it ends up doing is making voices sound off. Spoken audio is fine, but not great; music sounds muffled. It's probably good enough for non-critical listening though. What you would get moving up to the Aftershokz is more natural sounding audio -- it's still not great, and there's still a lack of bass, but it either has more treble or better audio processing so that music and voices sound basically like they're coming from a speaker far away.SOUND LEAKAGEThe other issue with these headphones from Naenka is that they leak sound. In a quiet room, at a normal volume level, somebody can understand a podcast sitting from about 3 feet away, and you can hear audio but not quite make it out up to maybe 10ft away. With any kind of background noise these distances decrease of course. In contrast, the Aftershokz Air doesn't leak sound nearly as far.OTHERBattery life seems OK though I haven't run it all the way down it seems like 5-6 hours is possible. These are relatively comfortable for my what I think is an average sized head. This has 3 buttons, down, up, and a multi-function button; it handles volume up/down and play/pause with single presses which is all i really need. This uses a proprietary magnetic charging cable, I guess for improved water resistance, but now I have to make sure to not lose the included cable. I had no issues pairing with my Android phone and an iPhone.SUMMARYPros:* It actually is bone conducting* Battery life is OK* Comfortable fitCons:* Poor sound quality, even by bone conducting standards* Proprietary charging cableGiven the price, I think these are just an OK pair of bone conducting headphones. If price isn't a concern, I'd suggest something from Aftershokz instead.

The Bone Phone
I'm old enough to be an original user of the walkman. I wore those on the ear headphones a lot until I developed a painful sore in my ear. Kind of like a pimple on the inside of the ear. My father was an electrician's mate in the Navy and clued me into a technique well known to Navy radio operators. Instead of putting the headphones on the ear, you put them on the bone just outside the ear. Not only did you hear the audio leaking from the headphones, but some of the auditory energy was conducted by the bone and delivered to your cochlea (the hearing part of the ear). This was especially helpful with CW communication (morse code over the radio).Nowadays, headphones are been replaced with transducers that directly beam audio energy into your head without bothering the eardrum. The advantage for me is that it leaves the ear canal free to hear ambient sound. That is key when walking or running on busy roads. Also, it is more comfortable than in-the-ear headphones. With these headphones, you get the phones themselves, an instruction booklet, a charging cord (you have to supply your own wall wart), and a set of foam earplugs. Not sure what the earplugs are for except to block the ambient sound. Not something I want unless mowing the lawn or something. The system needs to be charged up before you use them. Mine took about an hour to fully charge. The Bluetooth pairing system is easy enough to set up to pair with your phone or what have you.The fit is a little strange. I guess you have to get used to it. The transducers don't exactly press flat against your head and you have to move them around a bit to get the best sound quality. Since I wear glasses, that add a little bit of difficulty with the fitting problems. Once you have it adjusted correctly, the volume is adequate but if you jar them, the sound quality can cut out quickly. I'm not sure these will be great while running or other activities that have jarring movements. The sound quality is not exactly "audiophile" quality. The bass moves in and out with the motion of my body (probably due to the fit issues). However, they seem perfectly adequate for podcasts and workout music. The transducers vibrate quite a bit and the tickling effect distracts from the listening experience.Overall, I'm pretty pleased with the headphones, but they really need a while to get used to. However, they may not be for everybody.
