Inov-8 Men's Trailroc 245 Trail Runner

I love most of these shoes. Fit great, amazing breathing - the moment I get any sweat on my feet - I feel cold breath around it.The only issue I have is that after just couple hiking trips the green part got detached... It is still walk able, but I would expect it to last longer at that price tag.

These shoes are great out of box. I dont like Inov-8 colors at all but these are bearable. Inov-8 please add better colors I'm not entering a clown show. The fit is great although toe box could be a tad wider for me. I wear these mostly hiking, they dry fast, and are comfortable to wear for multiday trips.

I normally take a 10.5 US, the shoe does run a 1/2 size small, and the 11 fits perfectly. Is minimalist so no arch.It only took 2 or 3 short trail runs to break them in. If you have any material pushing up between the laces from uneven spacing ( I had one spot ), change around the lacing patterns to compress that spot and it will be fine.I just did the Vermont Spartan Beast on 9/19 and they were great :- excellent grip on everything, except for the blasted tree roots.- fast drainage and not a single rock finding it's way in- very comfortable, no blisters, and plenty of splay room in the toebox.. and after 9 hours I am sure my feet were a bit bigger than when they yelled GO !.- and they appear to be nicely durable, but as this is just one race in them I will with-hold judgement on that.- and as I have had 4 ankle sprains, a selling point for me on these was that the side lugs are rounded to help prevent rolls inward, and it appears to work as for once I did not have any "almost rolls" which always scare the hell out of me.

These shoes are exactly what I was looking for. They are great for obstacle course races and good for training on unpaved trails. They are lightweight, have great traction in mud, and do a good job of getting rid of mud and water. I would prefer to have a wider toe box since I have a wide foot, but they don't cause any discomfort. I bought these in April and have run a Battlefrog, Spartan Super, Tough Mudder plus almost daily training in them for the past 3 months. The only wear and tear I can see is a little separation in the rubber on the "toe guard". The tread is barely worn so these should last for several years. These shoes are also very comfortable for walking and everyday use.

I think it sucks that shoe companies don't run the same fit through all their shoes. The inov8 flite series is one of the best fitting shoes I have ever worn. The trail roc is narrow and fits terribly in same size. If you have a wider foot or like the way your flites fit, try a half size up (atleast).

Haven't used them much other than a short run (ITBS is acting up and won't go away) of about 1.5 miles but I have worn them around the house just to get a feel for them though. Used them on some pretty rough trails and I have to say, the grip on these are amazing! As for comfort, they are kind of a "minimalist" shoe, so if you're feet aren't used to this kind of thing, start slowly. I think they feel great but have been running barefoot for a few years now so not sure how someone new to this type of sole is going to fare. I'm a huge fan so far and hope my knee gets better so I can get A LOT more miles on them!

So far, so good. Ran several miles with them last weekend, and the traction and support was great. This was my first set of Inov-8s, and I was surprised at how comfortable they were. No break in period at all, but they still have very good support and protection / padding at the sole where you want it. I will be giving these a shot at a Spartan Race in VT in a few weeks - they seem like they will be up to the task (we'll see if the rest of me is...).

This is my second pair. I wore out the first pair. Ran so many back country trails that I destroyed them, but my feet never suffered. Perfect for mud runs, dry rock scrambles or man-made obstacles. You can even boulder in them. The tread is stiff enough for gnarly mud but pliable for hard-packed surfaces. Most shoes are too narrow for my feet, but these fit perfectly. So if you have very narrow feet you may want to reconsider. Way better than major big market brands in the same price range.

Trail shoes don't come any better than this. Cool, sturdy, light and comfortable. The only problem is that running in anything else doesn't cut it any more. I use these for trails with some hard ground and they handle both well.

Really comfortable and great value, I've run in these now for half a dozen off road runs; today was particularly sticky and the Trailrocs did themselves proud. Recommended.

typical Inov8 fit for me. Too low, too narrow. Thought i'd try these as I have avoided Inov8 for so long and wanted to see if they had developed their fit. No luck. No idea how so many people find Inov8 so wonderful!
