Early years
A good, solid reimagining of the first meeting of Batman and Superman. While I didn't like every change DC made to their characters' early days, Greg Pak made this one fun and entertaining. Foreshadowing Earth 2 and Darkseid was a nice bonus.

Amazing art!
This was a great intro to one of the batman/superman story arches. The art is fantastic and the plot isn't too shabby either. Honestly, I'd buy it for the art alone! But the story line is captivating enough I want to get the second one as well! This is another great one to add to the collection.

So far, so pretty good
I like this. Clearly this is the beginning of an ongoing: there is a lot of exposition here and the stage is being set, but while the story takes a while to unfold and make sense, and is clearly foreshadowing events to come, with a little patience and persistence, it becomes increasingly clear where we are heading. There is a good deal of emotional heft to the younger/older SM and BM meetings, most specifically in the art.And the artwork here is terrific. Lee's work on these stories is quite subtle and remarkably expressive. Kinda worth the price of admission on its own.Only caveat and complaint here is the final story, from the JLA. While I understand the need, or at least desire, to include it to A) pad out the page count, B) present the exposition for the next issues, and C) it does fit here from a narrative standpoint, the juxtaposition of the bombastic, almost lurid artwork with the rest of the book is quite jarring and kind of like getting slapped in the face while meditating (or some such contemplative activity as you might engage in). It feels tacked on, despite it's stage-setting.Overall, though, a fine experience and I look forward to Vol. 2

It was a decent read but the art work was a little weird and the story telling gets a little confusing at times.
I got through it and it wasnt all that bad but I wish I spent my time and money on reading something else. The story certainly gets interesting towards the middle and I enjoyed the Darkseid story in the end but it wasn't all that great. Not a big fan of the artwork at times (a superman wearing a t shirt?) and the story telling gets confusing. If you are looking for something different, a little more obscure than most but familiar then you should pick this up. It's not a bad read by any means. I was just hoping for something different.

Such a great read
Great story and wonderful art from lee...the premise of the story is basically the younger versions of batman and superman are transported into a different reality in which they confront older versions of them....the cherry in top was the darkseid story from his origin to him finding new 52 justice league

Five Stars
Really good story line. Pretty sure Batman V Superman drew some of its inspirations from this story line.
