How long do the bulbs last?

What is the ideal size of mirror i should get to accommodate these 14 bulbs? example: 20x24.

They expand and contract the wire nicely. I think it just depends on how much light you want for your mirror. One string was good for our mirror that was 60’ x 40. We ordered one more string for her stand up full size mirror which also worked perfect! Hope this helps!

How do you hide the cable? I would like to have the cable on the back of the mirror

Sorry, normally we can hide the length of extra wire, but we can't hide the cable.

Can i cut the extra lights off?

I do not think you can, the chord running through the lights inserts into a USB port, cutting the lights may cause the lights to not work at all.
