This all grain kit arrived in perfect shape, all weights were dead on. Bags for the malts were sealed tightly, and nothing spilled in shipment. following the instructions was easy, and yielded 5 gallons of 10.45 sg wort. The color was perfect for a hefe, and the hops were perfectly light for this style of malty beer. Yeast was nice and active, and started visibly bubbling 5 minutes after pitching. Now I'm just waiting for bottling day!

Only indicated that it is an ALL GRAIN kit, not that it will come crushed. My intent was to crush myself,but I guess they saved me that step. Perhaps an option (as they have on their own website) to get whole or crushed, would be nice. The only reason that I didn't purchase through the website was that this kit, with free shipping, is cheaper than their own website. I guess thats the downside of going through Amazon for it?

I found Northern Brewer excellent. I had to call their brewmaster line and the guy was extremely helpful in explaining to me what I would need for some different ideas. Will be making this again.
