It's comfortable and doesn't pinch the ears. The fan evacuates the stuffy hot air from the mask's interior. It's slightly bulky. The battery doesn't last 3 hours as advertised as it tends to run out during use. What I don't like with this mask is that one can smell the polluted air like smoke, traffic smokes, perfumes and aromas rather strongly as though one is not wearing anything. With a regular N95 mask, one doesn't smell much of any polluted air. So there is something definitely not upto the mark with this mask. What's the point of using this mask for a walk when I can smell all the traffic pollution, dusts etc?Update: Jan 2024The mask fan broke down on its own last year. It was working fine, and was used sparingly. The fan stopped working. I never dropped it or had it exposed to water or extreme temperatures. It can't be opened nor replacement available. The battery is getting recharged just fine. No issues with that.My views after two years of intermittent usage is that it is just a fancy experimental mask that will not last two years. It's highly expensive price of 6000+ doesn't justify it's relatively low life span. Philips should discontinue this product line.

The product mentions 95% filtration for particles upto 3um size.The harmful PM2.5 are of size 2.5um and smaller. So, this mask is totally useless for PM2.5 which is extremely disappointing.At this price, one expects a mask that can handle PM 2.5 as well. Better to look for some other mask that filters the harmful pm2.5 particles.

It's a well-made mask.Perfect to breathe, sweat issues gone.The metal at the nose bridge may be placed to the left or right on a few of them, so some adjustment is needed.Pollution has become a bigger problem everywhere and especially in Metros where traffic jams are long and people don't turn off their vehicles while on red light. So having a mask is very important. The quality of fabric used in the mask is very good and another good thing was that none of the mask's straps came out of the stitch while putting them on.The mask works well if we want to double-mask as well.Overall, good product..

I find wearing a normal face mask uncomfortable because I can't breathe fresh air. I found the Philips "Fresh Air" anti-pollution mask interesting because it has a built-in fan. Well, by name yes, but practically it's not.Firstly the fan is not pulling the fresh air in, it throws the stale air out. Practically you have to pull the fresh air through your nose. It's as hard as any normal mask. Secondly, the secondary mask covers the fan from the inside, limiting its capacity to throw the stale air out. Overall the experience is not as fresh as it sounds on paper. It's a little bit better but not like a day and night difference even on max speed.The other issue is its battery. It can barely run for 2-3 hours on a full charge and charging takes almost 3 hours. Every time I got out with the mask, the battery died on the return journey and without the fan, it's worse than a normal mask to breathe with two layers of fabric.It's lightweight and comfortable to wear but with critical design flaws, it does not meet its purpose and definitely does not justify its price tag.

With masks becoming a part of our lifestyle for the foreseeable future, it’s great to see these technology companies innovate. Yes, this is just the basic, a three-mode fan on the left side; however, we Indians need to adopt and support these innovations and give feedback to keep innovating.First impressions the mask is not heavy, though it has an electrical unit with a fan, it’s very breathable very much.I just got it today, so that I will update you about the charge and backup soon.Update: When kept at mid settings, this lasts easily for 3 hours, which is ideal. Otherwise, all the other things about this still hold, and yes, this is a head-turner too!Philips can perhaps consider giving a small pouch for this, as I don’t think this is waterproof, so we might have to see how this works in the event of rain. The mask is washable; however, you need to remove the fan compartment and wash it.
