Amcrest UltraHD 2K WiFi Camera 3MP (2304TVL) Dualband 5ghz / 2.4ghz Indoor IP3M-941 (White)

I bought this camera because I have been concerned about the safety, security and privacy of my home for awhile. I never thought of getting a security camera until now.I shopped around and chose this camera because it supports dual band 2.4ghz/5ghz wifi connectivity; because my 2.4ghz wifi in my home does not work. Only my 5ghz wifi works and so that's why I bought this Amcrest camera; because it allows for 5ghz band wifi connection. In fact, it is the only camera I found that meets this need.The setup was extremely easy. I am very tech savvy but I am a beginner when it comes to apps and stuff like this because i'm more old school, but it was very straightforward. This is how I set it up:1. Downloaded Amcrest View Pro app on my 2 year old Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12 running latest version of Android.2. Plugged in camera to wall outlet.3. Plugged ethernet cable in (one end into camera, other end into my router).4. App prompted me to select my wifi (I think you can do ethernet for running the camera as well, I just decided to do the ethernet/wifi set up for now). Basically, what I mean is that, at first the camera would not connect to my wifi, so I did the ethernet/wifi setup instead).5. Camera immediately connected to my 5ghz band wifi through the ethernet after I logged into it.6. Unplugged ethernet cable provided by Amcrest and moved my camera across the room where I wanted it.7. Added my cell phone (Samsung Galaxy Express Prime Prepaid) as a second device on the app, and now I can view the camera feed from anywhere. (Have not fully tested this yet, when I go to work tomorrow and check the feed from my phone, that will be a real test). As long as you have service to your phone and your camera is online at home on your wifi, it should work.The app is very nice because you can control every main aspect of the camera. I have read that there are more options if you access it from a computer, but I do not need to do that right now.You can control the zoom, pan and tilt from your phone. It is basically a full 360 degrees of rotation and a very good amount of up and down as well. All by using your finger on the screen to control the viewing angle and zoom. It's actually fun like playing a game.The picture quality is amazing, and the night vision looks good as well. I can actually see my front door latch from the camera view to make sure that I didn't forget to lock it. And I also love being able to turn the camera view from my phone to make sure that I didn't forget to close my window etc.I want to clarify something that I learned myself before I finish my review to help other customers who are thinking about buying this.This is how the camera app works:To view the camera live feed on your phone from anywhere on the go, these are the steps.1. After installing app and camera on your device (I used my old Samsung Galaxy tablet), you can then have another device, like a cell phone connect to the camera for remote viewing.2. Select add device in the app while using the app on the device that you want to add, then select p2p.3. Scan QR code on bottom of camera or type in serial number manually.4. Log in using your username and password that you set up earlier, and now as long as your camera is connected to your home wifi, you can take your phone with you when you leave the house, and then just use your phone data to log into the Amcrest app and remotely access your camera for live viewing and etc.Overall I can highly recommend this camera, as I think it is possibly the best ip camera on the market right now.

Update 2: Fixed the weird sounds coming from the camera mic. To fix this I went to settings/audio and under mic I turned "off" noise reduction and lowered the volume to 25 percent. Now, no whining, screeching or anything. Just the sounds that are present.___________________________________________Update one: When the sun gets into those positions that everyone knows; causes washouts or blackouts with Foscam cameras. This is none existent with this cam! The iris knows how to adjust so that it doesn't eliminate images in both poorly lit and brightly lit areas. 10 stars for this ability! Night vision: needs some tweaking to match Foscam's but can be done via scheduling with Blue Iris. Just set schedules to change the "brightness and contrast" to match your area and lighting conditions.Microphone: I have changed everything possible within the cam and I have eliminated most of the "whining" and "ghost sounds" this cam gives but it needs a firmware update to fix this completely from Amcrest. Are you paying attention Amcrest?Also, another HUGE plus over Foscam is that when the IR filter is on, the frame rate doesn't drop. Yes I said that correctly, it doesn't DROP! This alone is worth the buying new cameras.Other than that, again, awesome camera. In fact, I just ordered three more!______________________________________________________________Original review:This is replacing a Foscam F9826W, a good cam in itself. The cam is coming up on being two years old and is starting to show some wear-n-tear. Still works, but I don't like to wait until something fails before replacing it. Hope that makes sense.Anyway, Amcrest is now Foscam, or vice versa, and actually, this is a much better cam for the same price I paid for the Foscam. Also, I use these out doors.Setup is so easy, I was afraid that I did something wrong. I'm using Blue Iris for this. Picture quality is amazingly as good as the Foscam and also being a 3 MP cam, digital zoom is as good or better than the optical 3X zoom the Foscam had.The mic on the cam is very sensitive, and has a lot of feedback. I'm sure this is probably a setting or something that I have to tweak. Beware; you will be hearing your neighbors three houses up talking.As I find more things that work/don't work well with this cam I will be updating this review, but so far, I am very well impressed!I would definitely recommend this to all my friends that are looking for a low priced/high quality video surveillance cam that doesn't beak the bank.

Quick review: Excellent camera with tons of features but the smartphone app is a bit involved if youre not security camera saavy.--------------------------------------------------------------------------This is an amazing camera! Its way better quality image than our nest camera. It also doesnt drop the feed every 10minutes like our nest camera does. The Pan, Tilt, Zoom funtcion is also a great feature. We use it as a baby monitor so its great to be able to pan and zoom when we need to.The only reason I will give it 4/5 stars is the app for the phone is somewhat involved. The interface isnt very user friendly once its set up. Also, set up was a pain. I couldnt get the camera to setup via the WiFi setup and instead had to set up via the ethernet and then transfer it to WiFi. (This wasnt hard to do mind you. The app walks you through it all. It was just a bit more frustrating having to move to the other room with our router in it so I could hardwire in.)If Amcrest could make a slimmed down more user friendly version of their camera app I'd give this 5/5 easy!Dont bother with Nest if your thinking of buying a security camera. This is way better camera with more features and is half the cost of a Nest Cam.(The Amcrest app isnt hard to figure out, just a bit involved if your not security camera saavy.)

Devolví la cámara el mismo día que me llegó. La cámara puede funcionar bien si sólo quieres que te lleguen las notificaciones al móvil mediante la app. Problemas que encontré:* Descargué el software de Amcrest IP Config para mi Macbook Pro de la página de Amcrest y no funcionaba, directamente me salía un error diciendo que es una aplicación de 32bits y que mi Mac es de 64bits. No encontré link para descargar la versión de 64bits en ningún sitio.* Intenté acceder a la cámara a través de navegador: me indica que NO utilice Chrome y que abra la página desde Firefox o Internet Explorer. Así lo hice, y tras registrarme y validar mi cuenta, me aparece que tengo que instalar un plugin y que reinicie el navegador. Lo instalo, reinicio el navegador (Firefox), hago login, y vuelve a aparecer el mismo mensaje, sin que el plugin sirva de nada y sin poder acceder a la cámara.Pruebo con Internet Explorer (que está totalmente fuera de uso hoy día y el propio Windows "obliga" a usar el Edge), pruebo a instalar plugin de nuevo por si tiene que instalar algún activex, y reinicio el navegador (cerrado totalmente, e incluso reinicio el PC), resultado: al entrar sigue diciendo que instale el plugin y no puedo ver lo que hay en la cámara porque pide instalar el plugin todo el rato.Quería configurar la cámara para que guardara el stream en mi NAS pero no ha sido para nada fácil ni intuitivo, y el modo de acceder a la cámara, si no es por la app, no se puede o al menos yo no he podido.Así que el mismo día que me llegó, al probar varias veces y varios modos y ver que no había manera, directamente devolví la cámara.

Un rapport qualité/prix satisfaisant. Modèle parfaitement pris en charge par un NAS Synology, à condition cependant d'oublier d'emblée les logiciel d'installation et de paramétrage proposés par Amcrest.

Tenía mis dudas de cómo se vería la imagen en HD vía wi fi pero definitivamente me sorprendió la calidad y facilidad de conexión, se puede programar la grabación en la nube y checarlo sin problemas desde cualquier teléfono móvil que asocies a la cámara, definitivamente compraría otra igual si la necesitara, Extremadamente recomendable.

E' un prodotto veramente di qualità superiore rispetto a molte altre telecamere sul mercato. A mio modesto avviso è una telecamera semi professionale . Unico neo è costituito dal fatto che in dotazione risulta fornita una presa inglese senza alcun adattatore per le prese italiane.

A little hard to set up initially and maybe to many settings that needs considering but overall is ok.Picture is clear.You can use it cable or WIFI.Have two streams that you can configure separately .Has PTZ and so many settings for picture and motion detection.So far seems stable and an improved version of the normal amcrest cameras.If you use the cloud prepare to pay a monthly fee but if you use your NAS storage or the SD card no other costs should be involved.I had many IP cameras and this one is one of the models worth buying if you need constant surveillance .
