This is very well made. It holds iPhone 12 very well (even with magsafe case). The big problem is the clamp that holds on to the vent of the car is too short. It opens up to a little less than an inch. But my two cars (Subaru Ascent and Toyota Prius) both have vent blades that are a bit longer. Real frustrating! So close to working, but doesn't. And the vents in these two cars really seem pretty normal. So check your vent blades...if they seem an inch or longer in depth, this frustratingly won't work!Note that this kit does come with a mount for the dashboard (via 3M sticker), if you want to stick it there. But that of course is annoying (to have a permanently stuck mount in the driver's view of the road...or so is my opinion ;). And of course it makes it not transportable between two cars.

Magnet does not hold strong even with Apple’s MagSafe case. One bump in the road and the phone comes off. Works great with no case, but with a case it’s not a strong magnet.

I didn't want a product that was permanent. I also wanted something I could move from vehicle to vehicle for road trips. This thing is great! It has fit into both cars easily. It's adjustable, you can easily plug in your phone or just use bluetooth. We have several Anker products that we like. This is another great product by them!

Long time Anker lover/supporter here. This mount sticks kind of okay without a case. But I do NOT trust this to hold my $1500 phone driving down the road. Maybe some of you live in areas without bumps or maybe you ziptie your phone to the mount between stops. NO THANKS."Knowing who to trust in this business is everything.."

This product does a great job of gripping onto the air vent, but if you turn the display on, say to check email or whatever, the display will remain on unless you shut it off manually. I guess the generic MagSafe feature keeps it on for some reason. Very sturdy though, overall very happy.

I was looking at another car mount that is 3x the cost so decided to try this one. It works perfectly! I have a 12pro max and it stays no issues! Very strong but easy to get off when you leave the car.Only thing is I wish there was a black option. No loss in stars for just the color.Would highly recommend it!

the magnet holds the phone nicely, but if you plan on using the vent attachment it will stick way too far out to be useful. adhesive for dashboard piece barely holds up to the weight of the max size phone i have.

This mount is great has a hook for the back of the vent and the magnet is super strong for my iPhone 13 Pro Max hasn’t fallen yet and I live in PA our roads aren’t great lol.

Very easy to fit and secure the mount into the air vent on the car and holds a cased iPhone 12 plus securely on the MagSafe mount. It's easy to pivot from vertical to horizontal by loosening the screw collar. I use it in landscape mostly so I can use the phone as satnav.Note that this is only a holder and not a charger. If you want a MagSafe mount and cordless charger you need the more expensive version from Anker.

Great bit of kit. Only compatible with the magsafe technology on the newer phones. Watch out for some of the cheaper iphone cases as these can weaken the strength of the magnetic with the car holder causing it to fall off on speed bumps etc. But if you have the phone with out a case, or MagSafe compatible case, the car holder is great!
