The camera bag that fits my needs
My needs in a camera bag include camera space (Sony a6000 with a lens, a couple extra lenses and tripod or monopod) and personal items (e.g. extra shirt, lunch for two, water, Zoom H5 recorder with lav mics). In looking for a new bag, I found that most camera bags are aimed customers who want to carry only, or nearly only, camera gear. Then I found the Vanguard Havana series.I first purchased a Vanguard Havana 41. While I liked the design (many pockets, place for water bottle and tripod, separate outside access to camera gear), the Havana 41 was small for my needs. So, I purchased this Vanguard Havana 48 and am happy with it. The camera portion of the bag has room for my camera gear with a little space left over. The personal item portion of the bag is larger than I've seen in other bags and big enough for all that I need to carry to various activities throughout the day. I like that it has external pockets for travel documents, plenty internal organizer pockets, and space for a 15" MacBook Pro. I'm 6'1" and this bag fits me well. It's not too big and not too small; it's just right. As I prefer to have access to my personal items on a plane, I like that this bag fits under the plane seat in front of me so I can avoid putting it an overhead bin.

Best commuter bag for photographers
I have several different brands and styles of camera bags, I wanted a daily use commuter backpack that would safely carry camera gear along with work essentials (laptop, books etc.) and I found a great one. This bag is generous of space and has a central divider halfway down that separates the camera compartment from the rest of the bag. The divider can also be removed to convert the whole bag to just a backpack. The camera cube that is included has a handle and can also be removed and used independently or in another bag. Great design all around. I use it daily and have had it several months now and it's showing NO wear. Padding is very substantial and really protects the gear (I've dropped it with no damage). Fabric is strong and pockets are all over. Plenty of room to stash many items. It comes with a nice rain cover that I haven't used yet because the bag is quite water resistant on it's own...and I live in SEATTLE! I bought the tan version and I get lots of compliments on it. Very stylish. All around a great bag from Vanguard.

Side strap for tripod to easily lost. Good bag otherwise.
The book bag is versatile and comfortable to wear. It fits my camera lenses and camera body with ease, and there are a variation of ways to make the bag work with its velcro divider on the inside. So you can actually make the bag into one large compartment which is pretty cool. I took this to Havasu Falls and the Grand Canyon with me and it fit my camera, clothes, tripod and 2 liter camelpack all with relative ease (which is no easy task). I would give it 5 stars if the side loop for the tripod didn't get lost so easily. I made it the entire trip, but somehow from airport to home, the side strap to secure the tripod was lost. And that's a huge deal, now the side pocket is not good for a tripod and i have to stick it into the main bag utilizing it as one compartment instead of 2 separate compartments (which is what i liked most about the bag). If the company were to send me another strap or allow me to just buy a couple straps separately I would be likely to increase rating to 5 stars.

VANGUARD Havana 48 Backpack (for photographers).
Like other's looking for a great all round day pack that would easily and safely carry a DSLR, this VANGUARD Havana 48 IS IT!!! I just received it from Amazon Prime (THE BEST!) and it's Better design and constructed than I originally thought. Enough room up top to pack clothes/food, other supplies for a day's adventure, while providing an easily accessible space below for a DSLR and a couple of lenses and/or flash items. If you're looking for a great durable well laid out day pack that will also house your basic camera system, the VANGUARD Havana 48 is it. I'm glad a purchased the 48 instead of the 41 for the added room. The pack overall isn't obnoxiously big and will be able to fit in a plane's overhead space without issue. I've read quite a few reviews of the 41 saying that it's a great pack, but lacks the room really needed and they went back and ordered the 48.

Great camera and travel backpack!!
Received my backpack today and I must say I am very pleased with it. When I was in search for camera backpack, I didn’t just need a backpack just for my camera gear. I was also looking for something where I can store my personal belongings like a sweater, Snacks, extra clothing, etc. and this was one of the only few backpacks that I found that fit exactly what I was looking for. It is very well made. If you’re in the market for a great camera bag and personal travel bag this is the one to get! Looked no more!

Everyday work backpack
I've been using this as my work bag for the last month and half and I love it. I had a recent trip to Boston for work and it was great to be able to bring my DSLR and laptop in one bag as my carry on.As others have mentioned, the 70-200mm lens doesn't fit on the camera in the bag but I have brought it along in the upper portion -- I'm just more careful moving it around. You won't be able to carry every piece of gear with you, but if you only need a laptop, DSLR, and 2-3 lenses this will work great. Oh, and it looks really cool.Love the build quality too, the zippers and straps are thicker and stronger than other backpacks I've owned.

Awesome camera backpack! Love it
I am more then happy with this backpack. It's fits my gear perfectly. There is also lots of room for other things. Plenty of compartments. The zippers have no problems sticking which is good. Overall it's really well made. I take it around town and also have took it hiking. It gives me enough room for my camera and extra lens and also for sweaters and lunch and whatever else I need. I like the material it's made from. While hiking I got clay mud all over it and it washed off easy. If you don't want the split compartments then you can convert it to one big backpack. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a reliable camera backpack. It's really a 5 star bag.

Great Travel Partner for Photography or Daily bagpack.
Great bag for travel. Easily carries your one dslr camera and few lenses. Hungry space to carry around extrabits. In my last trip to Barcelona, I carried this bag pack with my MacbookPro, iPad, Canon 7D MarkII, 70-300mm lens, 50mm 1.8, 24mm, DJI Osmo Pocket, Insta360, bunch of cables and adapters, spare tshirt, water bottle. and all these I carried with ease.
