Exactly as described and well packaged
The magnets arrived packaged well and damage free. The magnets had no chips upon arrival, nor any while attaching it to our dishwasher (which has a sign that tells us clean or dirty that needed a new magnet). The magnet is super strong and holds very well. No complaints!

works best. I used these to make a magnetic knife ...
These are amazingly strong magnets. They are very thin. The picture shows the foam spacer between the magnets. If you get two magnets stuck together without the spacer between them, they are very hard to separate - sliding them apart is possible, but having the bottom magnet butted up against something, and using something non-metalic with a 90 degree edge to push the top magnet off, works best.I used these to make a magnetic knife holder. These are not strong enough with a 1/16" thick piece of wood in front of them to hold a knife by itself. You would be better off using smaller "beercan" magnets instead of these thin ones, but they can work if you use two, vertically spaced from each other. I used an array of 10 wide, by 2 tall, which makes a fairly huge board, but it does work. They were stacked, not in two stacks as in picture, but in one stack, wrapped in bubble wrap, and then placed in a box. So, you aren't going to have a problem with the box being stuck to the inside of your mailbox. Will buy from this company again.

Yes, super strong magnets. Highly recommended!
Wow, these are POWERFUL. They aren't kidding when they refer to them as "Super Strong". Be careful not to let them get too close to each other without the spacers! We found out the hard way - the best way to correct that is to slide them apart laterally. Still not easy.I bought them to replace some magnets that hold the steel doors closed on the cart under my grill. (The old mounts had rusted away, but the doors and cart were still fine.) I only needed one for each door. These are so strong, I had to put a couple pieces of tape on top of the magnet, or the door is too difficult to open! We're finding more uses as we go along - holding tools on the side of a steel shelf, fridge magnets that my kids can't pull off. These are just 1/16" thick, so very "low profile". :-)Very pleased with these. Highly recommended!

This is a Good Size Magnet to play with : Not too Strong: But Strong enough
This seems to be what I think could be a good overall play magnet, because it is only 1/16" , if allowed to get too close to another like magnet could easily snap both magnets together so quick and so hard to break either magnet or both. Still has enough strength to have some fun with older children 8+ with supervised play with parent, and may not get fingers pinched so hard as with larger magnets. These can be pried apart (by an adult) if two get stuck together. All 15 magnets were packaged well in a sturdy heavy weight cardboard box and had plastic spacers between all the magnets and were rolled up in bubble wrapped . No damage in shipping magnets to me.Like I said, nice size magnet , not too strong for kids to play with, makes a good refrigerator magnet by it's self.Very pleased with this purchase.

Powerful but Slightly Fragile
I found out by accident that the shiny metal on these magnets is only a thin foil coating. Inside is a grayish material that looks and feels like porcelain. I got to see this when one magnet that I was holding in one hand while removing another from the stack broke in half. The half that I wasn't holding jumped to the nearby magnet and shattered into smaller pieces. Very instructive.I got these to temporarily hold up a dark cloth over a window to keep so much of the morning sun from coming in. I had assumed that the window shade brackets were made of steel and would attract the magnets. They are not magnetic, but putting one magnet on the blinds and another over the cloth is more than sufficient to hold it firmly in place. In fact it's complete overkill. I'm sure I can find something fun to do with these...

Fixed my oven!!
I have a double door oven that came with our home that we purchased three years ago. About two years ago we noticed that one of the doors was not closing tightly. With the oven light constantly on, suggesting the heat was escaping as well, we called the home warranty folks. Much to our dismay, it wasn't covered. The door hinges, according to the repair man, were bent out of shape by ordinary use. Perhaps, he said, from the cleaner of the oven leaning on the open door while cleaning. I had to have it repaired in order to, some how justify the $75.00 charge it was going to cost for him to tell me it wasn't covered, as the charge goes toward any repairs conducted at the time. The repair/replacement of the door's hinges was $200.00 all told. About two months later, the other door hinges "unhinged" in exactly the same fashion. We used some aluminum foil to wedge the door. It wasn't pretty, but it did the job. A few months later, it happened to the other door. Now both doors don't close correctly. I called the company (KitchenAiid) to see if this was a problem that they might have heard of before and maybe suggest a remedy other than buying a new $3,700.00 oven. They said the oven was over 15 years old and, as such, would not have records of such problems. Hating to see us using foil wedges every time we'd open/close the doors, not to mention the "low rent" look. I thought I'd try magnets. I found these and used epoxy to glue two of them to each upper corner of each door. Voila!!! They're thin enough to not interfere with the original seal and powerful enough to keep the doors shut. For the cost of four magnets, I saved a $400.00 dollar repair. And, apparently, future repairs.
