Discovery Kids Sound Machine Projection Alarm Clock

Let me just say that I love/hate this thing! I love the nightlight stars and the sound machine. The clock is super easy to set. This would be an AMAZING product except that it eats batteries like no other toy we own! Why does this not have a power cord?! My daughter has always slept with a night light and a sound machine and I was so excited to get a 3-in-one product, but I'm so disappointed. We literally have to change the batteries every 3 days if we want to see the time on the clock. The sound machine and the night light might run for a week before it dies completely. We use it every night from 7pm to 6am, but I'm looking for something comparable that has a power cord with it. Don't buy this unless you have an endless supply of batteries.

We originally bought this from TJMaxx on clearance in hopes that it would help my son sleep. We had tried every other sound machine and sleep soother on the market but was intrigued and for only $8 it was a cheap option. It has increased my sleep significantly. I’m not going to lie to you and tell you it has made my child sleep all night every night but it certainly helps. After about 1.5 years it died on me. I turned to Amazon and sure enough I found it again. During the time we were without this device, night wakings increased from 1x a night to 3-4 times. I will continue to purchase this if it ever dies again.

It requires batteries, batteries that don't last but 2-3 days at a time when you use the "starry night" function, which would be expected since it's a night light. Huge disappointment. This needed a plug in cord to be an effective product. After going thru a pack of batteries in a matter of a couple weeks, it is sitting dead on a shelf and is no longer used. Don't waste your money.

I bought an open box item for $4.95. My child has some sensory needs as well as an autism diagnosis. He lays in bed giggling for hours. He now looks at the stars and quietly goes off to sleep. I wish I had gotten this months ago. There is a button for nature sounds on it but we haven't used it. A great buy.

My two 6yo nephews came to visit me (5 hrs away) but they left this thing at my house. When they got got home they couldn't sleep so I send them this one. They were so happy to have it because it helps them go to sleep.

I bought two of these for my daughters and one of them didn't work right out of the box, while the other malfunctioned and stopped working within two days.

We loved this product so much we made sure we got the same exact one for the other parents house when our daughter started sleeping over there for school nights. However the second one we bought is now only a few weeks in and the screen no longer shows the time idk if it being in the sunlight it messed it up or something? But I’ll actually be calling the company after leaving this review.

I would have liked the projection to be a little better but it’s not terrible my 4 year old loves it and uses it every night. The sounds seem to help him with going to sleep.
