I've been doing wine kits from RJS and WineExpert through our local homebrew store for several years. I also do a lot of homebrewing and have some of the winemaking equipment at home. The store does on-premises fermentation, filtering, etc. Unfortunately, they are a 45 minute drive so I decided to try this inexpensive kit at home. I added 2 tbsp of wine tannin powder after primary fermentation to help build the body since this kit doesn't include grape skins, and filtered with the Buon MiniJet filter (#2 pads). After 8 weeks the result is a really good, medium-bodied wine with black cherry and pepper notes.

Of all the wines I have made this one has gotten the most complements. It took me over a year of looking at the price to finaly buy it, decently worth it. This is my second purchase.

This wine kit was easy to use and made great wine. I highly recommend it for beginners or people who want to experiment.

This makes a good quality Shiraz wine, but I use it to make Shiraz Port. Just make the wine per the instructions, easy to follow, the add brandy or gold rum to make it into port. Good flavor and everything you need. Definitely recommend

Followed the directions, I did mess up and use tap water, but it did not hurt the yeast at all. 30 days it was ready and it ended up nice and dry at 12% ABV...Definitely will buy again.

This is our 7th Malbec kit. For some reason they forgot to include the yeast packet. Not a big deal just the inconvenience of having to stop everything and go to the wine store to get it. The wine itself is great.
