For the money, impossible to beat. Very strong. Easily holds firearms, tools, etc.
Very strong (but I've had stronger) but by no means weak. Comes with screws (see below.) Great for many uses. Easily holds any tool, firearm or implement. For the money, impossible to beat. One negative: I don't think the screws sent are going to be long enough. They only protrude about 1/2" past the back of the magnet's case and these are so strong you will have to give a good tug to get the thing off. I'm afraid if you are screwing into particle board (so much furniture, cabinets, etc is made with this stuff) I can see pulling the entire thing out of it's mount. If you are screwing into hardwood or good quality plywood, it's probably okay. But another 1/4" to 1/2" length would be appreciated to cover all uses.I also glue on some felt to keep it from marring the things that get stuck to it. The steel case is pretty aggressive. If it's a shovel or hammer, NBD, but some some other items that have a nice finish, you might want to cover it in cloth or felt like I do. In fact you can just wrap around the magnet with any material (canvas is great) and super glue it to the back side. Once you screw it to something the screw will hold it all in place. *(Yes, you have to make a small slit for the screwdriver, but it's not very visible once it's done.)

Very STRONG!!
I got these to locate studs in the wall and find they do a good job with drywall. They do not work so well with plaster and lathe, so that was a disappointment. Warning... they are SUPER STRONG and you have to be very careful when separating them. If you let one get near another one they will grab on to each other and NOT LET GO! It will be nearly impossible to get them apart. It can be done by setting them both at the edge of table and sliding one down off the other, but prying them apart is impossible.

Strong magnets that are very useful
These magnets are so strong they can be hard to separate (they come with convenient nylon washer/spacers). I used them to make curtain tie-backs. I sewed the magnet and a large fender washer into a 9-inch tube of cloth, then screwed the magnet to the window frame (through the fabric). The washer sticks to the magnet through two layers of fabric, which makes their super strength just about right. They work perfectly for this.

These are amazing.
Reading the description from the seller, I was almost afraid to try them. I didn't try to pinch my figure, nor try putting two of them together.I used 4 of these to hold up a dust box collector (about 20 lbs) for a router built into a long work bench. My table on the bottom is metal overlayed with 1/2 in. Plywood and 3/4" MDF. I installed one magnet in each corner. when I put the box up against the table I made sure to keep my fingers out of the way. I put one side up slowly and was going to ease up on the other side and the force of the magnets took it out of my hands. I didn't get it in the exact position that I wanted, so I thought I would just slide it in place. While sitting under the table I tried to pull the box to me, and pulled myself up off the floor! Could not believe they worked that great! Was able to get above the table and with great effort slide the box in place.

Great, Useful Magnets!
These are very strong and useful. I use them to hold remote controls. They hold many remotes right through the case, without having to add any metal plates-attracting to the batteries inside. TIVO and odd shaped remotes where the batteries are more recessed do need a metal plate, or other small magnet. I also use them to hold my wireless computer keyboards, one magnet on each end, cell phone, loose metal parts/screws/etc. They can be stacked front to back for more strength.I'm ordering my third set just to have around because I'm sure I will think of many more applications as time goes on.If you use the included screws, drill a pilot hole first. The strong attraction makes it difficult to screw in straight, especially if you are using an angled driver or working in a tight space.

Amazingly strong magnets!
Using these to hold my defensive tools in secret places. Defense tool magnets run about $29.99 each. These are stronger, and come in a box of 10 for $11! Amazing! Comes with screws and already counter sunk. I use outdoor rated double sticky tape, but anything will work. Get 'em.
