Great Customer Service Response
My original review title was "Did the job, but I'm not sure how long this Kensun will last...."10/26/15 Update:Received Kensun's replacement pump; they opted to send us their Portable Travel Multi-Use Air Pump Compressor/Inflator with Digital Gauge and Worklight, which seems to be a heftier unit than the D1002 unit I originally purchased. Since we also need the ability to use both 110V AC and 12V DC, Kensun also included - at no cost - their 110V AC to 12V DC Adapter, rated at 15A. My experience with Kensun's customer service has been outstanding... they were the one's who contacted me based on my original 3-star review... we didn't pester them for anything, since the original D1002 unit did the job we need and is still working fine. Kensun took the initiative, and suggested sending a replacement, to ensure we were satisfied customers -- very pleased with Kensun's proactive approach to customer satisfaction.10/21/15 Update:Was contacted by Kensun Customer Service based solely on my review and they offered to replace my original compressor with another (my choice) at zero cost to me. Have to say I was impressed with Kensun's very quick response to my review, which - in my opinion - was rather neutral, and their very kind offer to replace my compressor even though it has not yet failed. I left the selection of which compressor to their discretion, given my needs, and the replacement is already in transit. Again - impressive! We'll further update this review as events transpire.Original Review:Received the Kensun a week ago, and used it for the first time today to "top off" tire pressures of my popup camper and boat trailer. The pump functioned well enough, bringing my camper's tires (2 mounted tires plus the spare) from ~40 psi to the proper 50 psi cold, and my boat trailer's tires (2 mounted tires plus the spare) from roughly 50 psi to the proper 75 psi cold inflation pressures. I started out with the camper tires; the pump did an acceptable job inflating but it took longer than I expected. Using 110V house current, I started out intending to let the compressor run for no more than 10 minutes, but after about 8 minutes I noticed a "burnt" odor & a few wisps of smoke. I shut the compressor off, and let it cool for at least ten minutes (fortunately ambient temperature was in the low 50s°F). After that, I would run the Kensun no more than 5 minutes at a time, and allowing 5-10 minutes of cool down. This unit was able to achieve the required 50 psi (camper) and 75 psi (boat trailer) pressures I needed, but I have concerns over the durability of this product, given the "burnt" odor and wisps of smoke I observed. I hope this unit lasts... we'll see.

Complete waste of time and money.
Kensun YS-205 pump review: If I could give this 1/2 or no stars, I would. Do NOT make the same mistake I did. After years of topping off my car tires with a bicycle pump, I decided my back and my time both needed saving. I was excited to find this pump on Amazon: sounded great, overall seemingly good scores -- and I was thrilled when it arrived quickly via Prime. That's where it ended.Excitedly, I went out to inflate my car tires in both cars. I thought something was just WRONG with it. I even pored over the instructions, etc. to make sure I didn't have to unlock something, or hit a different button, remove an air covering or something. But after going back now and digging through other reviews on this product specifically, I sadly realize that this is just the pump.1. WORST & FIRST, this hardly fills air, or fills so slowly that it will not save any time. I couldn't believe how long it took for the pressure gauge to climb just a few PSI. And I was using the regular wall outlet in my garage (tried another one too, just to troubleshoot).2. Potentially even worse (but I'm not going to wait around to witness this happen) the motor just can't handle the work, and I see a very short future. After running for 5 or 10 minutes on my first tire -- and it still not moving much toward my goal of 40 PSI -- it began really smelling and getting hot. After a little more usage on the second tire (see point 4), I actually saw smoke starting to come out. SMOKE!3. Additionally, for all the "not working," this pump is incredibly LOUD (which I suppose I could live with if it actually worked).4. After laboriously getting one tire almost satisfactory enough, I moved to a second tire. After 10-15 mins of running on that second tire (turning it off a couple of times to read the exact PSI, and to give "the little engine that couldn't" a small rest)... I got out my bicycle pump and topped off the other two tires by hand in just a few minutes. Then I unplugged the Kensun from this second tire and finished it by hand in a jiffy.5. Oh yeah, and you can hardly read the PSI gauge while it's running because the pump vibrates SO much, so you have to keep stopping it when you want to read where your at in PSI.... which unfortunately is usually the same place you were before! :(I am SO disappointed in this pump, and in this experience. I'm returning it today, immediately. Do not make the same mistake I did.Meanwhile, looking back at the Amazon page for this pump, it is ridiculous that is says this pump is reduced from $299.99 to just $39.99 (an 87% savings!!). Seriously?? It is not worth $9.99.
