Between 4 and 5 stars
Ok, it is made in China.. we have to learn to live with it. I have decide to buy SOG after being disappointed in Ka-Bar ( read hereย Ka-Bar Warthog Folder II, Black G-10 Handle, Black Blade, Plain ) I needed working EDC knife. Since I have SOG Powerlock, by far the best multitool, with one drawback - small knife; I need to have bigger sturdier blade. So i went for SOG as knife. There is only one thing that I don't like about it and that is picture and description that is misleading: knife looks a little more straight than it is, in fact it is more crescent shapen when open. Nothing wrong with it but it wasn't what I expected.Other stuff that bug me are only my personal preference and not considered when rating it: does not sit in pocket as good as other knives, pocktet clip, albeit cool when goes down deep in pocket, is hard to take knife out of pocket, why is there cut in the loop? All in all, I recommend this knife with all my heart but will it be right EDC hard working tool, remains to be seen.I will update!Thank you SOG!

Quality Issues
I am very fond of the larger Spyderco knives. So when I saw the SOGzilla at a reasonable price I had to purchase. Within a few days of doing the opening/closing break-in, I began noticing that the tip end of the blade was scrapping aginst the interior liner. The more I tried to break in the knife the more the scrapping was evident. I tried adjusting the Torx blade screw (on both sides). On one of the sides, the screw was stripped and would not tighten or loosen. The other side torx screw was fine but I could not fix the blade scrapping the liner lock. Also, the top portion of the handle is separating from the frame. So this has been a disappointing purchase. I would have been better off saving the money and buying a higher end Spyderco.I've tried very hard to like this knife even with the unusual gap in the deployment hole. The handles are thinner than the Byrd Cara cara II making grip a little harder. Might still serve as a back-up knife in the car. For now, it's found a place on my closet shelf. Like so many knives made in China, quality control is lacking. It always seems to be a hit or miss proposition. At around $30 dollars, it was a $30 dollar lesson learned.

SOGzilla
SOGzilla is right! This is a large folding knife. The handle is made of Zytel (plastic) and has nested steel liners. Good grip molding that provides solid traction. Includes SOG's fantastic deep carry clip that is left or right hand, tip up carry. Lock up is achieved with a lock back and is sturdy. The blade is long and sharp, i believe its AUS8 steel. It came sharp and I was able to get hair shaving sharp is a few minutes. It has retained that edge well too. The opening is done with a Spyderco style hole. The slight opening at the top allows for more purchase. I like the idea, but Spyderco has the design perfect. The SOG is easy enough to open, but its not nearly as smooth. The blade is almost 4 inches and my model has the black finish that looks nice. Recommend.

Sogriffic
Strong, lightweight, easy-opening knife that is full-sized but still slim. Why buy this instead of a Spyderco Cara Cara, etc.? Because this has a deep-carry pocket clip and optional Ti-Ni coated blade/clip that the others don't. I also find this SOG more comfortable for IWB carry. If those things don't matter to you, then there are Spyderco knives that are virtually identical. Both company's products can be opened with a hard "flick" and without touching blade.Unfortunately, I had to send first knife back for a replacement because the Ti-Ni coating wasn't properly appled. The Ti-Ni coating on the replacement knife seems to be excellent, however. Stuff happens. If you need the knife to "disappear" when in your pocket or waistband, the deep carry/Ti-Ni clip is still the way to go.

Very Pleased with this knife
I picked up the SOGzilla a few weeks ago, when I was out looking for an inexpensive yet durable knife for EDC/general-purpose use. I have been absolutely pleased with my purchase, and I think the SOGzilla is a great knife for this price. There is no blade play whatsoever, and the lockback blade lock is very sturdy. The result is a truly solid knife. Lightweight, decent length (fits comfortably in my moderately large hand) and has sturdy jimping for the thumb. The deployment is a bit stiff at first, but the washers quickly "break in" after a few days, resulting in a fluid, controlled deployment. The deep pocket clip is great for unobtrusive carry.TL;DR All in all, an excellent knife for the price. Exceptionally good as an entry level knife.

awesome
Awesome knife lightweight but surprisingly sturdy.locks nice and tight. I actually milled the front half of the opening hole and created a custom Emerson opening system and it works great.also the blue has a great lockup and is dead center.came razor sharp too.only thing that's wrong it's the handle are all it's on the thin side. Other habitats perfect knife couldn't have asked for any more.

Great Knife, sharp blade straight outta the box
Great Knife, sharp blade straight outta the box. Low profile when clipped into pocket. Only wish it was spring assisted. Other than that great job SOG!

Well Worth It
This is a great bargain at its price. I would give it 5 stars, if not for the opening on the thumb hole and it only has to 2 options for the clip placement.
