A STURDY, QUALITY, WELL-DESIGNED AND DURABLE DECK BOX.
Before you begin assembly, go to the Keter website > outdoor storage > deck boxes. The style or model you are looking for is GLENWOOD. Go to assembly instructions, download and print. They are correct to a T.I found no problems or issues whatsoever.Unpack and identify each part according to the parts list and instructions. Each plastic part is stamped with a large part number on the inside corner like PB, PF, PLP or PRP to simplify assembly. The two sizes of screws (SCW0 & SCW7) are in separate ziplock bags and clearly labeled. The small parts are clearly identified by accurate illustrations.Using a small variable speed cordless screwdriver with adjustable torque and a standard Phillips bit, assembly takes one person less than an hour.An adjustable torque screwdriver will help prevent over tightening and stripping the plastic threads. The larger screws (SCW0) used in the wall assembly require more torque than the floor screws and will not strip easily. Your bit will probably bounce and skip on the screw head before the plastic threads strip. However, the smaller SCW7 floor screws will strip the plastic threads if you are not careful. If that happens, a small dab of Liquid Nails will secure it forever. The big box home improvement stores sell wall board foam insulation in 4' X 8' sheets for about $14.00. Once assembly was complete, I cut a section to fit in the floor for reinforcement in case something heavy is dropped inside by accident. This deck box is not air tight. There are holes in the channels on the upper side of the back wall panel for ventilation.Perhaps this is a safety precaution in case Little Johnny locks little brother or Fido inside and forgets about them.Even though ventilation helps prevent interior mold and mildew, the holes will allow water to enter in a blowing rain storm or when cleaning with a pressure washer.Think outside the box and you'll do fine.I sealed the seams and holes with construction grade Liquid Nails which cures much faster than silicone sealant and is 20 times stronger.Keter deck boxes are made in Israel and the sturdy quality and design is far superior to most foreign-made products we see on the market today.I'm looking at an even larger Keter Deck Box for Amazon deliveries.

Well it took two times but we got it set up
For the first one that I got was completely screwed up missing pieces the box was destroyed I swear it was some item that someone had returned and nobody checked it, after I spent an hour and a half trying to figure it out. the good news is when they sent me a replacement it was much much much much faster than getting the original one LOL okay this one was in great shape except for the new one had some quality control issues with cutting the resin parts cleanly to separate them period easy enough it was okay to fix on my own. I'd read another reviewer said you will know if it's connected correctly because you will definitely hear a snap. I absolutely agree with that because if you don't hear the snap something's wrong. I have to say it took two of us two times to do it and it was probably because the instructions are very screwed up and if you don't get one of the screws all the way through where you can't see it anymore the whole it's supposed to go into it may go off to the side and will put the whole frame off I will not connect together correctly. The lid is a little crooked that I just am working it into getting used to laying down correctly but I have to say I'm so much surprised that this thing literally can hold body weight without any question or any nervousness about it being unsteady. I don't see it being waterproof because it doesn't seem to shut down all the way so I'm going to purchase this cover for it that I found for about 30 bucks it's still really great could only be better if they'd put wheels on it

good
First, I had no instructions in the box. The only sheet of paper was the one that tells me not to return it to the store. Other than that, I had zero instructions. Thank goodness a quick Google search resulted in the full instructions. Good idea to assemble on carpet but if you got shedding pets, their hair will static cling to this thing like there's no tomorrow. I had one of those duster with the anti static charge that was able to wipe off most of the hair. The bottom of the box is corrugated plastic. There isn't much clearance at the bottom but I can see sagging in the future if you store anything heavy.Assembly was easy with the instructions except for one major issue. I made a big mistake with the hinges. I thought the corner pieces were just end caps so I push them into the lid first. Instructions showed you're suppose to place the lid on top of the box then push in the corner pieces. However, instructions failed to show that you're suppose to line up the holes on the lid and box before you place those corner pieces on. So I just assume corner end caps was to cover up the holes. I attach the corner end caps to the lid itself making it unable to attach to the box. I had to destroy part of the hinge to get the corner end caps out. The end caps click into place and my attempt to unclick then pull out the end caps was not successful. I had to tear the part of the hinge where it clicked and remove the end caps. Once the end caps was removed, I realign the holes, place the end caps back on. Thank goodness it still worked as a hinge and the lid open and close just fine. The middle pneumatic part helps supports the lid too. When you first open the package, the parts feels flimsy. However, once you connect them together and add in the metal braces it actually feels pretty solid. It says two people can sit on it. I'm male, 260lbs and was able to sit on it. However, I found it too high for my liking and it wasn't comfortable.Overall, it's an ok product. It works for its intended purpose. I wouldn't store anything heavy. and make sure you pay attention to the corner end caps when it's time to attach lid to box.
