Help speed up an old Laptop

Memory arrived when expected. Upon receipt, memory was tested for proper speeds using RamCheck Lx. Memory tested out as advertised from Komputerbay. Since I had never heard of Komputerbay memory before I was hesitant at first in ordering, however the price intrigued me to give them a shot. The numbers don't lie, and Komputerbay memory tests out at the same speeds as higher end well name memory manufacturers. The lifetime warranty is also very nice to know you have.Before ordering memory for personal use, please make sure you are ordering the right type for your machine. Make sure to open up the computer (desktops), and look up the motherboard inside your computer for the types of memory is needed. Don't always trust the manufacturers recommendations. I have seen quite a few pre-built computers give the wrong information as to what type of memory they can handle. Many of the bad reviews you read on products like this one are not the fault of the product or the seller. It simply is a case of ordering the wrong type of memory (wrong pin count, speed, ect) So make sure you order right the first time and you will be happy with the Komputerbay memory you receive.

It was use for 15 year old Sony Vaio laptop. Unfortunately only one ram is needed because the laptop maximum ram is 2. If two ram is installed laptop won’t turn on. OS Linux mint detected the ram.

Excellent memory - works great! Was a bit leery purchasing this memory at first because I'd never heard of it before but it's brought new life to my old Toshiba Satellite A135-S4467 laptop running 32bit Vista Premium.Took a bit longer than I expected for it to recognize the new memory but now it runs blazing fast as compared to before. Removed two 512Mb. modules that were in there and maxxed it out with these 2X2 Gb. modules. Now it runs about 5X faster in my estimation. What a world of difference!Name brand performance at reasonable cost. Actually even better than some of the name brands that I've used in the past.

I purchased memory cards for my aging Gateway PC. After comparing prices, I choose Komputerbay product and ordered it.Amazon wanted to know if I would recommend this site for other DIY buyers. Since I didnt have any problems, I would recommend Komputerbay as place where to buy stuff, and in future I will order more, if and when needed.But I also want to say this - Amazon, you are doing GOOD job on making this place safe to shop. Bought for Laptop that is over 20 years old that had 2X 512MB sticks and this brought the Laptop back to life! works perfectly without any freezing, slowing down, lagging and long loading programs! would buy again!

Needed to upgrade my sister's old Toshiba laptop to Windows 7. It only had 500Mb of RAM. There aren't many manufactured chips with the specs required for her system anymore, but I found these one Amazon. Felt it was a good deal. No issues after installing and her system works much better now. Product works as expected.
