MBT Women's Mahuta Walking Shoe

I bought a pair of MBTs years ago, and while I liked them, they were very heavy and felt awkward to wear outside of exercising. I decided to try a new pair, and WOW! What a difference! These are so light and easy to wear that they will definitely cross over into daily wear outside of workout time. The sole of the shoe still has the balancing action and makes it more natural not to strike your heel so hard when walking or running. It is a little less extreme than my initial pair though.Very happy with these, took them right out of the box and wore them on the treadmill for an hour- no blisters or sore spots.PS- After reading all of the comments warning that the company went into bankruptcy and is no longer in production, this is false. They did go into bankruptcy, but the company is indeed still actively designing new shoes and selling them, so no worries- MBT is still around!

I did not find the shoe too narrow as some reviews state. The fit was pretty much as I expected as I have had several MBT shoes. I had to return these due to the BOTTOM of the shoe being narrow. MBT shoes have a rocker bottom. This is the first pair of MBT shoes I've had where the center section on the bottom is only about 1.5" wide. In MBT's you are already up higher and "rolling". The narrow section on the bottom makes this shoe easy to "fall off" and twist an ankle. Other styles provide a wider base that covers more of your foot. This particular shoe almost reminds me of walking in heels. Not for me.

I just received these shoes and wore them right out of the box to the gym. They were very comfortable and supportive. It is my hope that they will continue to give me the support that I need. I like the way they look. The color was not too bright and is a lovely shade of purple.I used am very pleased with the purchase thus far. I actually brought the black and gray color first and liked them so much that I ordered another in the violet color. I do like the MBT brand. I normally wear a wide width shoe - however the medium width fit great. I would recommend this product.

You can tell MBT shoes are made well. I really like this pair. My one dislike is that the "suede" at the toe does not really wear well, since it is not really leather. Not a big deal, just not my favorite thing. I waited too long, and my old work shoes had worn out. (They were another brand.) When these had arrived in the mail, after a 12 hour shift, I almost cried. My feet, legs, and hips were in pain. I put them on, and instantly my feet could feel the difference. Oh, happy day! The following day at work was much better! There is not much arch built into these, but I wear orthotics anyway. I like the firm base of the shoe. Flexible soles do not work for me. I think they tend to run a little bit narrow, which I actually like. The regular prices are out of reach for me, but so far I've found my size in a more moderate price, around $60 here on Amazon.

I love them. I am finding that they are best for walking every other day. The rocker motion does take a little bit of getting used to and I have to concentrate to walk with them. I'm sure that it will get better. I actually wore them for and hour of aggressively walking yesterday and then to the grocery store and shopping with no problem. The shoes alleviate the pain on the tops of my feet which are arthritic.Thanks MBT for these great shoes.

The shoe is everything it was advertised to be. Problem is, I have real "issues" with my feet, and these shoes, while comfortable, allow my feet to turn inward...I over pronate. These shoes just aren't real stable, for me, anyway. But I do wear them while I'm at home, as they ARE comfortable- more so than slippers, so I'm not sending them back. I just can't wear 'em for long periods of time or at school where I'm dashing from here to there....need more structure and stability.

I have worn MBTs exclusively for over five years. As a result of their design and construction, I can be on my feet all day, on any surface without suffering the kind of pain and extreme back, leg and foot discomfort I lived with all my adult life. I tried a pair of the knock-offs (they were much less expensive) and they were awful. MBTs, and Mahuta in particular, are wonderful. I obviously can't speak for other MBT wearers, but I have had such amazing results with the Mahuta that I will wear them as long as they are available.

These are really good quality shoes. Fit is as expected and the quality is as expected from a reputed good brand. These are made in china, but the patent being MBT the quality is not compromised and neither is the technology. I have a pair of sketchers and another pair of the brand called Ryn that I wear to work everyday which is all leather. All of them are brilliant in their own way in terms of comfort, fit and quality. Worth every penny.

Fantastic. Anyone who has never tried MBT'S, try a pair on. They are amazing and not only keep the wearer upright, but these marvellous shoes work all your leg and botty muscles.

bought these again since this purchase - great for posture as i have been told my posture is quite bad - very comfortable and quality product

E' ora di scrivere una recensione su queste scarpe che uso abbastanza spesso in primavera e autunno da circa 2 anni. Solo con abbigliamento sportivo ovviamente.Allora: sicuramente camminare con delle scarpe su cui si è instabili comporta dei rischi: bisognerebbe avere i piedi ben piantati per terra in tutti i sensi! Ed è anche vero che ad alcune persone causano delle tendiniti. Ma per i miei piedi cavi sono state una salvezza: mai più dolori ai talloni e inoltre un dolore al ginocchio che avevo da anni mi sparisce quando le uso (per poi tornare dopo un po' quando cambio scarpe, seppure con plantari fatti su misura!). Inoltre come modello lo trovo un po' meno pacchiano rispetto alle altre MBT. Il costo è veramente altissimo, sono fatte in Cina, e il materiale non è dei migliori: al paio che avevo si è infatti spaccato un bordo in plastica....non mi era mai successo!! Per fortuna ne ho trovato su amazon quest'altro paio, identico! La camminata non è "riposante" né elegante, ma sono delle scarpe sportive "quasi" carine e io sto meglio
