this is a great hair dryer. I was looking for one to go in my guest bathroom and have had nothing but compliments on it since. the attachments are easy to attach and aren't too big and bulky, like some others i have had in the past, making it easy to store in the bathroom vanity drawer. definitely a good find.

So, Amazon suggested buying this blow dryer with the Orchid diffuser. Don't fall for it. The Orchid diffuser does NOT fit this blow dryer. The blow dryer itself is very nice, good speed and really nice settings. Probably the most glamorous blow dryer I've ever owned. But I bought it with the expectation that it would fit the Orchid. Now I'll be duct taping the diffuser on because I'll be damned if I have to return it and wait for yet another hair dryer. I find it very annoying that not all Xtava products fit all their accessories. Come in Xtava, make it easy on the customers.

I needed a new dryer and was quite excited to try the Xtava black orchid diffuser. Amazon suggested that I purchased these together, so I did. Wrong choice!!! This dryer does not fit the black orchid. DO NOT BUY THEM TOGETHER! They don't work. Shop for the specific dryers that go with the black orchid or just use the smaller diffuser that comes with this dryer.

The Xtava blow dryer is beautiful. When I purchased the blow dryer it did not blow hot air so I pressed the cooling button which had been on when it was shipped and it started blowing hot air, so if you encounter the problem of no hot air when you first receive it keep in mind the cool shot may be activated. When the hair dryer worked it was fantastic hands down the best blow dryer I ever owned and the steel plated flat iron helped my hair not to curl upwards. It did indeed dry my hair faster and left my hair beautiful. However, after 8 months I was in the middle of blow drying my hair when I think the motor blew up. The blow dryer started smoking and it sounded like something broke in the dryer. I was scared out of my mind. I gave it 3 stars because it was great while it lasted. Wish it had a 1 year warranty.Update: Seller has reached out to me and replaced my broken blow dryer. They have excellent customer service. I highly recommend product. Would definitely purchase again.

Whoa. I never thought I'd be posting a review like this (I rarely post reviews at all) but this hairdryer shocked me when I turned it on! It was a very low shock, in fact I continued to dry my hair for a minute or two before realizing my hand was going numb and that I felt very strange. My husband tried it and thinks there may be a short and it's sending a low grade electricity pulse through the hand when on. I just had a baby two weeks ago and all I can say is I'm so glad I wasn't pregnant when I bought this new hairdryer. My last hairdryer was this brand but I will not be purchasing this brand again. Horrified at this safety hazard.

I used it for about 9 months and loved it. However, in the last couple of weeks, the power started cutting in and out. Today it shut off for good and I realized that there's a design flaw in the cord. If you wrap the cord around the handle (as most people to do, to stow it), there is a sharp edge near the bottom of the dryer handle that rubs against the cord, cutting through the rubber cover that hides the copper wires. This is really dangerous - hairdryer plugged in, exposed wires.Without that pretty major flaw, I really liked the dryer - lots of heat/airflow combinations/ion combinations, dried quickly, and it made my straight hair very shiny.

The hair dryer is light in weight . It has different settings hot and cold and different speeds . It comes with two attachments. One is the one that gives you more volume to your hair and I love it . My hair is always just blah . With this attachment I get my hair volume . I like the feel to it , because it also gives me a nice small head massage while I am blowing my hair . Then there is the other attachment that I use with a brush when I want to straighten my hair a little .Pretty neat box the hair dryer came in . I can store it away nice and organized . For the price you can not go wrong.

I bought this to replace a Jilbere that I've had for 16 years that I was madly in love with. Apperanlty they aren't what they used to be?, so I decided for a change. So far, I'm impressed. You can hold it anywhere and it is not hot. It is compfortable to hold, slimline design makes it easy to store. It's not loud, I even use it with my dogs and they like it. They love blowdryers, but some make an awful shrill noise that they just want to hide form. This one is fairly quiet with that comforting sound of wind that makes blowdrying a little less tedious.

I loved this at first. I have really curly hair and it would blow dry my hair pretty straight. Well it just completely blew up on me as soon as I turned it on. Very scary.

I absolutely loved this hair dryer at first, but after 6 months of using it, it broke. I was in the middle of drying my hair and it suddenly made a very loud pop and started...

Although it is supposed to have 2 drying speeds, the one I got only has 1. It has buttons for 2, but the speed does not change.

I absolutely loved this hair dryer, used it daily with a diffuser. However, today when I used the cool button, it made a horrible noise as if the motor shattered inside.

I have had this hair dryer for 2 years and have loved it but while using it this morning it literally exploded, with sparks and fire and smoke. Slightly over-dramatic goodbye.

I needed a blowdryer that had a setting for emitting cold air. Most other blowdryers has that option but requires you to have that button pressed down the entire time.

Love this. Setting are a little confusing and doesn’t include instructions. But the heat settings are nice since I have fine hair and can’t have high heat

Loved this blow dryer for the first few months until it started acting up, sometimes making a strange clanking noise.

Broken after a year and a half. Will not turn on. Powerful but does not get very hot. Seems to be healthier for hair but reliability not good.
