Can this bag fit a ipad?

Yes, I can put my Ipad in it easily and it still have large space to put other stuffs.

Is this bag good for a family day out for everything including a packed lunch?

Yes! it perfect- it has a surprising amount of space, and very sturdy- I use it everyday, carrying notebooks, water bottles, lunchbox other stuffes, and there's still plenty of space.There are also plenty zip-secured pockets. It was a great buy, so I would recommend it.

Will it store enough clothes for a weekend away?

I guess that depends how much stuff you want to take but for most people, I would imagine the answer is yes.

Is this rucksack ok in the rain?
