TO CLARIFY: I DID NOT PURCHASE FROM AMAZON, BUT REVIEW IS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY.For the first year, everything was FINE. I really enjoyed having this unit at first. We live in a TINY house on wheels, so this compact washer/dryer combo was a must for us. LITERALLY after the year mark, 12mo exactly, the unit started throwing out error codes. The first was an error code indicating the heating was "abnormal", so I gave it a rest and only used the unit to wash for about a weeks time before trying the dryer again.. it didn't continue displaying the abnormal drying error as long as I kept the drying for intervals of 30min MAX.THEN, at the 15mo mark, MID WASH CYCLE - mind you - the damn unit just stops. Starts giving off this terrible beeping noise and prompting an error code fc. We looked it up and the error code states: "FC. No feedback signal from driver unit - Service Required." It has been a 10 DAYS since this happened, the clothes are still TRAPPED inside as there's a lock mechansim that can't be undone. We called HAIER and they had the worse customer service. We spoke to a gentleman initially who stated he could place us in the warranty, as it was only a few months past the year mark; He asked we call him back at a later date, to confirm the correct serial #, which we did. This time, 2nd call, we got another representative - WHO REFUSED to place us into the warranty regardless of the notes that were placed on our account. Not only were we on our own for the servicing of the unit, they were no longer going to honor the "paying for parts, even after 1 yr warranty" that was initially presented to us.We are now at 10+ days, and I'm on Amazon leaving this really crummy review for this REALLY CRUMMY product and company & YES, our clothes are still trapped probably moldy and unsalvageable. DO NOT BUY. We gave it an honest try, and as soon as the 12mo warranty is up, this machine will just start falling apart.

Great washer bad delivery JBC product managementThe washer dryer is great. It does take more time to dry than a traditional dryer. The delivery was preformed by JBC product Management at 1800 341 5693 They didn't remove the bolts that hold the drum in place. Refused to finsh unpacking and refused to connect. The guy in charge let it slip that they were in a rush. And said I would get a refund for the lack of installation. The guy in charge of the delivery wrote that qoute unpacked in living room, not ready for install. This was not accurate. I removed the old washer dryer by splindied a few hours before they delivery. All they had to do was pull all the bolts that secure the drum connect two hose and plug it in. Instead I had to do their job and they got paid. And when I called to get a refund for not installing they made excuses and blamed me. So... JBC product management at 1800 341 5693 I have called costco , GE and will be writing many review about your lazy, lying, employees in a rush to get home and that you don't take responsibility for. Refuse delivery from JBC product management and insist on a company will to do the job they were paid to do.

(To simply say that this is the worst washing machine I have bought would not do it justice).Here's my experience...#1 My first machine died after 3 months. The first error code was 'FC'. The load of clothes in it was locked, turned moldy and was destroyed. (The sadists who designed this product made sure that if anything went wrong with the machine, the door was locked and could not be opened at all).#2 Haier sent a NEW replacement. Which lasted all of TWO months. A few hours ago it stopped, displayed an error code of 'F7' and (as expected) locked up my second set of clothes (worth a few hundred bucks).In Haier's defense I must admit it takes true courage to churn out such a piece of junk in today's competitive market (and ruin the company's reputation in the process).And their engineers are an exceptional set of sadists... they must have worked hard at figuring out how to enrage the customer even more when this worthless piece of junk stops working... (lock up the clothes... yup that's it).

Good Pete this thing sucks so bad. It’s really not a 2 in 1. The dryer function doesn’t work. It washes moderately well if you can figure out how to open the door.Please don’t buy this.

I did NOT purchase from Amazon, but people need to be warned about this brand. If I could give it zero stars I would. It worked great for a year, then one month out of warranty a code came up on the screen. Called Haier and they wouldn't do anything because it's out of warranty. Told to call a tech. Was told it needs a new board, which would cost almost as much as we paid for the machine. The machine is way too much money to only last 13 months. Stay away from this brand!!!!

Full disclosure, I didn't buy this machine myself (my apartment came with it already installed) It doesn't dry AT ALL. Kept getting error messages after the first few weeks using it and had to air dry all my clothes (at one point I actually got a rash because the machine wasn’t washing all the soap off my clothes). Because the maintenance people in my building were unresponsive they didn’t send someone to fix it for 4 MONTHS and when they did they found out the unit hadn’t been properly installed. Even after the fix it still sucks and takes three drying cycles to dry my clothes. Literally the worst.

The machine ate my clothes and has no way to override the door lock. It literally just failed with some ambiguous error code and refuses to release my load of laundry.

Broke after 7 months (used maybe 15 times) giving FC error code like many other reviewers stated. Our wet clothes have been locked inside for two days so far.When it’s not giving error codes and working its “fine” nothing great, clothes come out wrinkly and it takes like 4 hours to wash and dry, and it can only hold very few things.
