Dinosaur Train InterAction Mr. Conductor

Bought 3 of these guys. They're a hoot! They all talk to each other, even call each other by name. They have an extensive enough repertoire that it doesn't get too repetitive, and some of the things they say are pretty amusing, and educational. And they're tough & well made. We've had them for 3 years, & they've been tossed & dropped & played with & they're still going strong! Only thing is, I think I like them more than the kids do. They like to play with them when I pull them out, but they're not always their go-to toy.

My little granddaughter was absolutely crazy about this toy!!! Dinosaur Train is her favorite show, and to have Mr. Conductor "in person" was beyond her wildest dreams! Thank you!

My son loves Dinosaur Train (and honestly my husband and I like it, too) For Christmas I bought the King and he enjoyed it so I bought Mr Conductor (one of my son's favorites). My son loved seeing it in his Easter basket. Mr Conductor doesn't sing the full Dinosaur Train A to Z song, but my son enjoys hearing the short version he sings. Also, when putting Mr Conductor and King together they will talk back an forth.

Dinosaur train is a BIG deal for toddlers and pre-schoolers. I mean really, how could it possibly be any more amazing? It has dinosaurs and trains, together!! The conductor is the star of the T.V. show and this toy repeats all his catch phrases..."Tickets" "Next stop, the jurassic period" How cool is that! Small hands can easily push buttons, located on watch and hat, to operate. Toys " voice" is not overly annoying for adults who will have to listen to it over and over, at least until the two triple A batteries wear out.

Arrived not working. My son in law opened the battery compartment and the battery had leaked. He cleaned it out and sanded the terminals before putting in new battery. Then it worked. Disappointing.

My son freaked out, he loves his 'miser ductor'! It looks just like the one from the show, and he plays with him all the time. We haven't had any problems with the tail breaking, maybe they've fixed it since people were having problems before. He was a little smaller than I expected, but he's actually a great size for my son, he's 3 years old.

Most of the reviews from the dinosaur train toys say they are cheaply put together. My son loves this show so I took chance for Christmas. He LoVES the toy but the tail has broken off twice and we had had to glue it back together and he has only had it for 3 days.

If this is being sold by "TOPTOY" please don't buy it! It's got Hebrew text on the box and the conductor sounds like a British male, not the actual conductor from the show. We bought this to replace our last conductor felt hat we've had for a year, and my daughter immediately rejected the new one. Looks like we're sticking with the chewed up foot-missing toy that my dog got to...

This is a product review for the Jim Henson’s Dinosaur Train Mr. Conductor figure made by TOMY. The figure comes nicely packaged which is colourful and easy to open and release the figure from. Mr. Conductor stands just shy of 8 inches.Sculpt: The figure is very accurate to the tv show character; it’s immediately recognisable. The materials are mostly plastic but the arms are rubber, being the thinnest part of the toy this is just as well to prevent snapped limbs. The figure lacks in texture being just glossy plastic with no dinosaur skin look which the show’s character does have and indeed so do other toys in the series.Mr. Conductor is held together by screws and unfortunately no effort has been made to blend them in, they are unpainted, silver and tend to stand out especially the two that affix the jaw, giving the toy a Frankenstein-esque appearance; now the majority of kids won’t really mind but I still think it’s sloppy and makes the figure look a little cheap.Articulation: for this figure involves the mouth, which is opened by pressing a button on top of the head, the neck which pivots backwards and forwards, arms rotate up and down and legs rotate also.Special Features: Mr. Conductor says various phrases from the tv series when you press down firmly on the head button or when you press the button on his chest (this is supposed to be his pocket watch but has no real watch detail). Pressing the pocket watch also causes it to flash different colours. He has 3 settings which can be changed by using a switch on his side, 2 of these settings change the language between English and Spanish and the 3rd enables a SFX mode where he will roar, yawn or giggle when buttons are pressed. If the figure is not played with for some minutes it will snore briefly.This series of toys have the special feature of an interact ability with others in their range. They have sensors which emit infrared to trigger different phrases in nearby characters up to a radius of 10ft and this feature works better indoors and facing each other. Adding more characters to your collection will unlock different phrases in each character as they address each other. I have found the interaction not always consistent especially when there are more than 2 of the series close by.Accents: There has been allot of confusion about the range having British accents when the dvd’s seem to have American. It seems that two versions of the show are available for the British and U.S. market respectively. Nickelodeon UK runs the series with British accents and that is what you get when buying the toys here in the UK, however if your children have watched dvd’s of Dinosaur Train chances are they will have seen the American version and may be a little disappointed when their toy sounds completely different. Mr. Conductor for example in the U.S. version sounds much more whacky and fun whereas the British version is less so, I guess it’s all down to personal taste.Overall: I wouldn’t pay over £15 for this figure being one of the smallest in the series. It seems fairly robust but heavy use could pose a problem for it in the long run. The electrics will not survive coming into contact with water so if your child likes to play with toys in the bath/puddles etc extra caution is required. Good toys solid in idea, but a little less so in reality.

Purchased for our Grand daughter for her 6th birthday and she just loves it.Mr Conductor probably interacts more than any other Dinosaur, and sings the theme tune too.Can recommend this to any child who enjoys the Dinosaur train.

Would recommend this for any dinosaur train fan we have a few of these bought for Christmas and they all talk to each other was rather funny wrapping them for Christmas and they were talking to each other under the tree

This guy is great. I bought him any Tiny for my 2 year old daughter and she never puts them down. The interaction between the two has impressed many people that she shows. Lots of fun

Great price, sometimes doesn't work with my sons other talking dinosaurs as its a little larger and it's hard to line them up. Ok on its on says a few phrases. Says it talks more than we have been able to get it to do.
