Third impression...
Old tires. Remembered not having very many miles on them, figured I'd replace a set of Gatorskins with them for a while. NOPE. These things look like they were in a FATAL KNIFE FIGHT. I was right to ditch them.Only had ONE flat with the Gatorskins in three years: a stable-gun staple got through them.*****Just not going to be my year; ANOTHER flat. Caught a small piece of wire. Not sure I can blame the tire for that but had to take a "star" back. I'm thinking about going back to a wagon wheel...or just regular "fast" tires; figure if this can't stop that, and the fast tires can't either...might as well go with what "feels good"!************************************************************Still happy with them, but view them as a "necessary evil". The roads this year have all kids of crap on them...these are helping me roll over it and not worry too much.I really miss the "spirit" of the "speed" oriented tires though.************************I just got these on my Trek Madone 4.5 carbon. Replaced a Bontrager "All Weather" rear (crap) and a Specialized front (no issues). I'm 220lbs...and that was too much for that Bontrager I guess...got 1k out of it...had issues from the first ride (bead breaks).Initial impressions on Michelene: bullet proof; had a very tough feeling to them. They did take the "twitch" out of the bike, helps hold the front wheel in line with a cross wind, smoothed the vibrations from the road, can't feel the pebbles (that you couldn't dodge) you roll over, seemed pretty sticky (good grip.)I think the ratings that Michelen put on the side of their box is accurate: not the fastest, or the best handling, not he most responsive, or the lightest tire you are going to find...but if you are going to ride long, over oodles of tiny razor sharp pebbles...I'm betting my follow up in 1k miles will be good.

Must have
This set replaced my Michelin Krylion, had over 900 without flat, unfortunate experienced rip on rough road. They are similar to Krylion but apparently are more durable. I went with 25mm and couldn't be happier. Have only logged 76 miles but seem to have less roll resistance . Avg 150 mile per week so I will respond in later post .. Pros- mount with hand easily (secret to mounting road bike tire is roll them on the wheel like rolling a news paper/practice any tire without levers. Advise all cyclist to switch to 25mm- comfort- since these tires will never go back to 23mm. Description states 225gms. 23mm however 25mm is 245gm packaging ,

Michelin PRO4 Endurance Tire
Over the last year I have purchased two sets of PRO4 Service Course as I am focused on speed and handling. This time around I purchased an extra pair of PRO4 Endurance because they last longer, and have almost the same characteristics of the Service Course tires. Way better tire than any other I have used in the past. A must have, no more worries in regards to flats, just combine them with a good pair of tire liners and you are on your way.

Have held up well
I probably have about 1000 miles on these tires so far and just had my first flat but it was a pinch flat not a puncture flat.I'm a bit bigger biker weighing in at about 200lbs so my booty puts these tires to the test :) I've ridden over glass I didn't notice until too late, roads that had the top level torn up before the paved them and nothing has punctured or cut the tire. I don't do any bike trail riding and it's all street with all the wonderful stuff people have thrown out their windows or along the road :(In checking the tires today, they darn near look brand new for all the junk I've ridden over. I like these enough, that I'm thinking about buying the Service Course tires to try them out.

I got these tires to go on a pretty challenging multi-day ride in the Yellowstone area
I give only 4 starts instead of 5 because I am not sure I was paying enough attention to my tires to give a 5. But I would say they were a vast improvement over my previous tires in terms of traction. I got these tires to go on a pretty challenging multi-day ride in the Yellowstone area, including Beartooth Pass. Previously, I had a set of gatorskins, which were worn to the point of having "corners," i.e., a flat area on the bottom of the tires. This made me anxious about traction when cornering, especially on steep downhills. Even when new, the gatorskins did not have great traction. The Michelins seemed to grip the road much better, and I got no flats in the first 500 miles I rode them. I was very glad I bought them. Hard to say what would happen in town with more glass.

Huge difference - go for it
It was time to switch from my stock tires after 4 years of obvious overuse. These and the Continental 4000S are the top tires being talked about on the reviews and I went with this one (really it was flip of a coin). In any case, the switch presented a HUGE difference in my confidence and ride quality. The durability and puncture resistance is top notch - I had a sharp wire barely piercing the front tire after my first ride and all I had to do was flick it off! If it would have been any/most other brand, I would have spend the next 10 minutes on the roadside fixing the flat :)TIP on the tire size: If you ride on a 23mm tire, try out these (25mm, most rims are compatible) - this slight increase in tire width will make your ride comfortable even after many hours on your saddle - your body will thank you. Don't worry, it will not slow your ride.

Fourth set of Michelins
I ride about a thousand miles a year, mostly commuting on pretty decent pavement. This is my second set of Pro4 Endurance tires. I noticed a couple of days ago that the steel belts on the rear tire were starting to show, after 1700 miles of trouble-free service. Amazon just implemented same-day shipping in our area, so I paid the extra and gave it a shot, since I needed to ride into work tomorrow. Delivery time was supposed to be by 9pm, and it got here at 9:15pm....close enough for me.This is actually my fourth set of of Michelins, including the ones that came on my bike. I've only had one flat tire out on the road, and another "overnight" flat. I don't know if I'm lucky or if these tires are good or both, but I'll stick with what works.
