The heater (400/800 Watt Quartz) is very light and produces a lot of heat quickly even on the 400 watt setting. Obviously you have to be realistic, this isn't going to heat a large area but as a personal space heater it is fine. It appears on the 400 watt output to be reasonably economical unlike the typical 2KW fan heater as simple arithmetic says this is using 5 times the power.One thing I don't like is the very non-ergonomic switch that selects Off/1/2 bars, it is not easy to use the switch with one hand as the unit is so light it slides away as you try to turn it.The other question mark is over the lifetime of the heating tubes, the instructions say these are not replaceable and I have not seen an estimated lifetime.

I can't attest to it's performance as a cooling fan, but for heating up a medium-sized room it works great. I generally only have it on the lower heating setting as that is more than enough to raise the temperature enough to be comfortable in the winter.The only downside I've found so far is that the thermostat feature does not seem to work.

I have three of these excellent little heaters. They are easy to set up, relatively cheap to buy as heaters go and also relatively economical to run at 400W/bar. There is a button which causes the body of the heater to turn gently, thus distributing the heat. It has three bars which can be turned on or off independently. The heater will warm up a small room quickly at three bars; it can then be turned down a bar or two to maintain the heat. The halogen elements, which produce a soft golden glow, are pleasing as they invoke the idea of focus and a glowing fire. I like to sit in front of this little heater to read; a radiator or a fan heater just don't have the same cosy atmosphere.PLEASE NOTE THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE CUQ00 1200 W HALOGEN HEATER ONLY

My boiler packed in and I have been making use of a small plug-in oil-filled radiator to take the chill off the living room ever since. It raises the temperature of the room over time, but does nothing to warm my feet, which feel like blocks of ice. I bought the fan heater to see if it would blow a sufficient amount of heat past me so that I could feel my extremities, and it does. There’s no waiting for it to heat up, and on full blast it’s fantastic for its size. On setting one it’s keeping me comfy and the cats are big fans too! For the price it’s worth buying one and storing it (it’s quite small) just in case your boiler does pack in unexpectedly!

Good portable heater but the thermostat clicks off at the desired heat but doesn't click back on.

This product is good for occasional use. It is portable and easy to use. However, it is provide better heat from around 2 feet not from far.

Happy with purchase , arrived fast. Doesn't warm a room , just the individual sitting infront of it.
