Super impressed with these blades. , whoops not so fast update
January 8, 2024 update.Well, dang. As you can read in my original post, I was pleased. BUT, now not as much. As I continued to-use the first blade it started to wander. I began began using a 6foot level as a guide instead of freestyle and found the blade has now lost 4 of six tips. This after maybe 100 linear feet of cuts. So I swapped out to the second blade and wow, back to speedy straight cuts.TAKEAWAY? consider it a disposable for little jobs. I will buy an expensive version next and report back!Original review:I've been using a masonry blade on my skilsaw to cut 5/16" Hardie 4x8 sheet siding panels. That's because I already had one and all the cement board blades seemed too pricey. I saw the price drop on these, but boy! So many bad reviews. So I bought two figuring I could always send them back. Plus I could compare the wear on the first one to see how it is holding up.The verdict after 24 linear feet of cuts?THEY ARE GREAT!They produce much less dust (you still need a good n95 mask and good ventilation) and cut clean, straight and fast. I'm really happy to be relieved of what was a nasty chore. There is NO visible wear so far on the tips. Highly recommend. Wish I had not been such a cheapskate before. Can't expect them to last forever, so I will return for more. And maybe get a 10" for the radial arm cutting smaller pieces. I expect I will be just as happy cutting Hardie tile backer. For what it's worth: I'm not an AI robot posting fake reviews. Nor was I asked specifically, nor incentivized in any manner, to post a review. I do not expect anything but to get what I paid for. I think this time, I did even better.

Used blade for hardiebacker, cuts fine
Mine was a small job with this blade, about 100 feet worth of cuts. I did need to make some rather long cuts though, 10 ft stretches, and this blade by Irwin did the job. Trusted brand imo, have several hand tools by them. Quality and price seem about right.

Didn't last 2 hours
These blades are total crap, don't waste your money!!Bought it for a small project, installing Hardie siding on an outdoor kitchen. Only needed to cut 5 pieces of siding (8" x 3/8" thick) and 3 corner trim boards (3.5" x 3/4" thick) down to size. I know it is an inexpensive blade but thought it could last at least the 50-60 cuts I needed to make. It stopped working at about 20 cuts, the tips broke off and it would not cut a straight or clean line at that point. I made just straight cuts to get the material to length, no ripping of boards down. Totally stopped the progress of the project and had to go buy a new blade from Lowes.Bought the new blade from Lowes for $25.34 + tax and I wish I had just done that in the first place as it worked flawlessly for the 40 or so cuts a had left to make and I will use it on my next project as it is still in good condition.Total crap!!

Good Inexpensive Blade
Used to cut Hardie Plank. For a cheap blade it held up well. Bought it for a small project expecting it to be worn out by the time I finished. I used it on another job, it had one tooth missing but still cut okay. I was able to finish project. This blade is much better than some other cheap blades out there. Good blade for small siding jobs.

Great bang for the buck!
This cut through 80x 8in boards and ripped 40ft to cover 560sq ft without a problem. I don’t doubt the issues mentioned in other reviews. I’m just betting on bad quality control. Buy 2 of these Irwin blades, and you’ll still spend half what you would at the big box store.

Works great for smooth straight cuts to hardie board
Worked well for precise clean cuts to hardie board. Much better than score and snap.

Dull after 36’.
This blade was dull after 36’ of 1/4” hardie paneling. I had 6 sheets to put up and had to finish with a 4” diamond blade on the grinder. The diamond blade cut much better.
