The blade of the sword has been constructed from 1060 high carbon steel and has been heat treated. The Hamon and curve of the blade have been authentically created. The curve of the blade has been created as a result of the tempering process. A Bohi has been added to the blade to lessen the weight and give audible feedback when swung. The Kissaki is a medium length with a well defined Yokote. The Saya is wooden with a black high gloss finish. The Kurigata is wooden with brass fittings. Tied around the Kurigata is a black sageo. The blade is secured by a one piece brass Habaki. The actual Tsuba is blackened iron with a sukashi (cut out) design. Two brass Seppas secure the tsuba of the sword. The Fuchi is blackened steel with a dragon. The Tsuka core is wooden with authentic Same (ray skin) under black cotton Ito. The tang is secured by two bamboo Mekugi. On each side of the Tsuka are bright brass Menuki. The Kashira is blackened iron.
