If you have a set up like that, then you know what a pain it ...
I have a desk tray that slides out from under my desk top. It doesn't have room for a mouse. If you have a set up like that, then you know what a pain it is to reach up to the desk top to move a mouse and back to type. Even though I have changed from a desktop computer to a laptop, I want to be at my desk, hooked up to my larger monitor, keyboard (I hate finger pads) and printer and backup drive. Laptop is off to the side with an extra USB hub. The roller mouse fits in front of my keyboard, as intended, The padded wrist rests are well placed and I can do all the cursor moving with the roller bar with ease, scrolling with its wide, soft rubber padded wheel, and the right and left click buttons can do what you want and can be customized. I forget to use the other, Double Click, button. If you have customized your system to single click, you can move to/hover over a word and press the Double Click button and it will immediately highlight it. The Copy and Paste buttons will complete that maneuver in 4 clicks rather than the 6 required by using a left click button menu for the two actions. Also, has a button to adjust the cursor speed that lights up to indicate five speed levels, as opposed to going into the control panel to modify. This really works for my set up and preferences.

Amazing relief for hand pain!
Amazing! I am on the computer for 8 hours a day, and the years have caught up with me. Have had hand pain from clicking and moving the mouse, both hands. I have tried different shaped mice and trackpads and trackballs, nothing works as well as this. Its super smooth, the roller can be flicked around effortlessly and the 5 buttons and scroller are a perfect add, just a perfect design and I never would have thought to add these. I even use the push down click on the roller at the most sensitive setting which is amazing too! I also have my wireless mouse next to me for certain tasks, but this is the main workhorse of my day.

Like a ghost is using my computer - completely unusable...
TERRIBLE!Do not buy this mouse. This is the 3rd one I've owned (my employers have purchased for me over the years). The first 2 were great, but this one is terrible.Apparently there is something wrong with the sensor (a known problem, it's not just me), and the mouse moves without me touching it. It looks like my computer is possessed. It takes about 10 seconds for the mouse to drip down from the top to the bottom of my screen. If is completely unusable. In fact, while I'm writing this review, the mouse is cruising all over my desktop. It sounds funny, but it's actually terrible and the worst thing ever for this huge amount of money.Skip this product and find something else :(

Unreliable and no support
When it works, it is great.Too bad it only works about 10% of the time. Most of the the time, the cursor will only stay in the middle 50% of the screen. When this happens it will not enter the area to the far left or far right, 25% of the screen on either side. The scroll wheel hardly ever works to scroll a document or web page up or down.I've tried on 3 Windows 7 computers and get the same results. I've tried with and without their driver. The contour driver doesn't seem to do anything but sit in the task bar and give a popup menu that just says "Default" with a checkbox next to it.It would be nice to be able to configure the buttons to do different operations, but since it is unusable due to the refusal to allow the cursor to enter 50% of the screen, that is sort of moot. I guess if you don't mind having to constantly move your windows to the left or right to be able to click on the left and right sides of them it would be usable. It would be nice if the company would respond to my emails asking for support too. I was surprised by the horrible quality of this product. I have other Contour products that I have been very happy with. I feel like it is almost a different company that produced and "should be" supporting this product.(Sigh... I can't get the mouse cursor over to the left to click on the "Preview your review" button...)

goodbye carpal tunnel!
I've been eyeing this "mouse" for over a year now. My friend got it because he was having issues with his wrists hurting. I've been delaying the purchase because I thought it was expensive.I finally justified that my hands, wrists, forearms, neck, and back needed to relax from all the sitting and typing I do in eight hours. I hated moving my hand from the keyboard to the mouse. The RollerMouse Free 2 sits below your keyboard. No more moving your hand. Your thumb just glides over the cylinder and you click! It is so easy to use and feels so comfortable! I'm really glad I made this purchase. I should have never delayed. It is worth the investment - my body.

Didn't work well for me
This was a suggested by a friend. It tooks come getting use to but my thumb started hurting.I didn't like all the cords with the roller mouse and the new key board. I used it for a few months but have gone back to the regular mouse and my logitech keyboard - no cords and the keyboard is easier to use. If I could return it I would due to the cost.

Buyer Beware
If you are buying this because you bought the original Rollermouse free, you will be disappointed with this new version. It has a horrible problem with the roller bar. It is really hard to describe. I have the original Rollermouse, which is great, best mouse device I've ever had. This thing has a springing feeling to the roller bar that completely ruins it, Because of this, when you press on the roller bar, for a mouse click, often times it will move the mouse slightly away from what you are pointing at. It also requires more pressure on the roller bar to get it to click than the original device does. They really should stop selling these things until they fix these problems.Update: I returned this item and the company was very good about it. They also stated that they are aware of the problem with the roller and are trying to do something to fix it. They really need to before selling anymore of these. The original is a great pointing device.
