BORLA 140645 Cat Back Exhaust System

The only reason I give this system a 3 star review is the fitment. This system with extension pipe (Borla 60570) is supposed to fit a 2017-18 crew cab Colorado. The pipe that bolts to the outlet of the catalytic converter does not fit up properly. Specifically, the hanger that is welded on does not align with the factory hanger location. I had to deform the rubber isolator pretty badly and put unnecessary stress on the factory catalytic outlet flex pipe just to get it to work. Other than that, the system is as advertised. Adds a great "throaty" tone to the 3.6L and the chrome Borla outlet looks great. I can't speak to any specific performance gains, but overall satisfied except for the fit.

The con: is ordered for a 2019 Colorado 4x4 crew cab short bed and this is the one for it. Started with first hanger toward front off a good two inches from where to connect to rubber in bracket. and then the hangers on the muffler held the muffler at a steep angle which then threw the back hanger off. Had the exhaust shop cut all the hangers off and weld them in the proper place. Called Borla and they said I should have taken pictures and of bar code and put my old exhaust back on. I wasn't going to go through all that and have to go through the whole process of return, new one and exhaust shop again. Now the pro: as with Borlas I've bought in the past outside of my problem with the hangers the exhaust is well made and for a V6 the sound is really good and deeper. I would buy Borla again. Just wish they would quality check closer.
