This is an incredible reference for preparing papers for psychology and other social sciences. Whether writing proposals, research papers, or reports, this book takes you through the steps to become a success. Starting with the inside front and back covers listing commonly misspelled words, each page gives you what is needed. Chapter 1, of course, starts with the process of getting started, including a flowchart as a visual aid. Time management, choosing/narrowing the topic are included. Chapter 2 gives the information necessary to research the topic with many good suggestions for using the various web sites available. Additional chapters include developing a proposal, planning and organizing the research paper, writing the draft (s) and producing the final manuscript. The last chapter is devoted to preparing posters and concise reports.There are many examples throughout the book with the Appendix giving you an example of the finished product.Having taught courses which require this knowledge and knowing the difficulty some students experience, this is one of those books that should be used by students and professionals who want a quick desk reference.
