Excellent for white noise- no gaps or annoying inconsistencies in the sound, just a full deep sound that will mask outside noises like traffic while you sleep. It appears to be a very nicely rebranded version of the old green Brookstone model that has served me well for over ten years. Can't speak to the baby-soothing sounds because I'm not a baby anymore. I'd take this over the slightly cheaper Marpac Dohm, due to the fuller and louder sound and the headphone output.

This is a good product, and one that my family has used for years. We have three--one in each bedroom of our apartment that remain plugged in, and one running on batteries as a floater for wherever our infant is sleeping.

We got this as a gift for our son and used it for about two years. We loved it so much we got a second one when our daughter was born. It’s very easy to take with us places —-simple set up, light weight and can plug in or take batteries. We mainly use white noise but it’s nice to have options. They have really GREAT customer service!! Very pleased!

This unit is even better than its predecessor. It is sleeker and easier to turn on/off. The white noise is excellent to block out background noise while sleeping.

Solid construction. Broke after two months. Turns on but no audio. Don't waste your money like I did. Too late for a return.

I just got my package delivered today and when I tried to use the sound machine it didn't work. First it just made a beeping noise and wouldn't let me change the sound option. Then, it stopped making any noise at all. So disappointing. I would never buy this item again

Wanted mains operated and good volume - this delivers both. Daughter now has a happier baby!
